I was off this Monday for the Thanksgiving holiday, but even though it was only a four day work week, this week has felt very, very long. We got our first big snow of the year, I was not ready at all. It’s got me feeling a little more “trapped” inside the house since I can’t easily pop outside for some fresh air… 4-6 inches of snow and wheelchair tires really do not mix. On the upside, though, we started to put some decorations up around the house to make it feel more holiday-like.
On to this week’s favorites.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Yesterday was International Day of Persons with Disabilities – I didn’t have a dedicated blog post, but I did share a bit on my Instagram here. This article in Allure (written by a disabled writer!) is a great overview of different ways to “celebrate” the day.
Mini Christmas Tree
We’re still hoping to get a real tree this year, but we also got two small ones to put up throughout the house. These are 4.5 foot, pre-lit trees – they were so easy to put together, and they look great! I definitely recommend them if you’re in the mood for a smaller tree.
Your Place in the Vaccine Line
This is such a fun interactive tool from the NY Times! You enter a few basic pieces of information and it tells you your estimated place in line to get the COVID vaccine. I was happy to see that my place was in line behind healthcare workers and those in nursing homes, but in front of others without pre-existing conditions.
Cute Christmas Cards
Still in need of a cute Christmas card design to send out? Papier has some adorable designs, and lots of options for personalization and addressing! The Christmas cards are currently 20% off, and it’s not too late to get them in time with expedited shipping, either.
Ooh such a cute Christmas tree! Love it. I will check the Christmas cards as I really need some to get ready for the day! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Have an awesome weekend! x
