Friday Favorites

This is my last full week of work until 2021, which is incredibly surreal. As long as this year has felt (and it has felt LONG), there are still days where I cannot believe that it has been 9 months that I’ve been at home basically all the time. The end of the year really has me thinking about these things. Anyway, not much other than that going on with me – just getting the house “ready” for the holidays. I think we’re planning to decorate the tree this weekend!

On to the favorites.

HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style
This is the book from the picture above – it would make such holiday gift! It goes into the thought put into the style of the British Royal Family, and the history, too. It also makes the absolute perfect coffee table book. And if you order through this site, you can order an autographed copy, which is always the best.

A Daughter’s Promise
This is such a heartbreaking article – a journalist went to stay with her mother in a nursing home at the very beginning of the pandemic, and ended up staying until her mother passed away from cancer. It’s such a beautiful tribute

Nest Holiday Candle
I think that this is my absolute favorite holiday candle. It smells so perfectly Christmas-y, but without being over-the-top. So many candles give me a headache because they smell artificial – this one doesn’t have that issue at all. It’s a little pricey, but I think it’s worth it!

Braised Short Ribs
This recipe for short ribs looks incredibly delicious. Having something braising in a dutch oven for dinner during the winter is one of my absolute favorites – it just makes the house smell so good and cozy! I’m thinking of making this on Christmas because it seems like such a festive meal.
