I am still all about the cozy cashmere sweaters this year. I think it might be becoming a slight obsession… I just feel like I want to comfy all the time, I’m just happier when I’m warm and cozy, and I’m happiest when I’m wearing cashmere. I figure that there are worse things I could be obsessed with, right?
This mockneck sweater from Madewell is absolutely my latest sweater obsession. Basically, I love every single thing about it. I bought it to wear on Thanksgiving (or, I guess I should say, I used Thanksgiving as an excuse to buy the sweater). And I’ve already worn it multiple times since then.
First of all – it is unbelievably comfortable. I know I say that a lot about cashmere, but it’s true every time! It’s a bit of a boxier fit, which just adds to how comfy it is, but it’s not too loose or baggy. It’s the perfect shape for a cozy sweater. I also love that the mockneck isn’t too tight or constricting – I can’t wear a real turtleneck too often because it makes me feel almost claustrophobic!
The cashmere itself is ribbed, which gives it a little bit of extra detailing, and makes it feel a little bit stretchier (though I don’t know if that’s actually true!). What’s extra cool is that the cashmere is actually recycled. Before this year, I’d never heard of cashmere being recycled and reused, but I think it’s so great. I have a hard time finding things that fit, so buying things secondhand can be challenging for me – I love that this is a small way for me to be sustainable in my shopping.
I love this neutral tan color of the sweater, but if you’re looking for something a bit bolder, the mustard yellow is so, so pretty. I had a hard time deciding between the two! But regardless of the color, is hands down one of the coziest sweaters that I own.
