I have been loving everything that Madewell is doing with sweaters this year – so many of my favorites have come from them. I feel like they do the laid-back but chic style so well, and that’s exactly what I’ve been gravitating towards lately. This cross-back sweater is no exception!

This sweater has been one of my go-tos when I want to be warm on a chilly day. The mockneck is loose, rather than making me feel claustrophobic like some turtlenecks can (I’m so picky about this). There’s just something that feels so cozy about a mockneck like this and I love it.
The fit of the whole sweater is actually loose and oversized in the best possible way, too! It’s not baggy or shapeless, but it’s definitely not tight. It’s just the right type of oversized. Working from home right now, I definitely don’t want to wear anything super tight or form-fitting, so this sweater is absolutely perfect. And it’s warm without being too hot, which is great.
My favorite part about it (which you can’t see from these pictures!) is the crossback detail in the back! For someone who doesn’t use a wheelchair, it would make such a fun little “surprise,” whether you decide to wear a bandeau or tank underneath or just let some skin peek through. Even though you can’t see this part on me because of my wheelchair back, it’s actual ideal for me to wear since I’m sitting all the time. It makes it lay so perfectly and flows around my different parts of my wheelchair back and seat. It’s a great style of wheelchair users and non-wheelchair users alike!
This rust color is unfortunately almost completely sold out, but there are still sizes available in the white and the black colors! As a bonus, it’s super on sale right now (over 60% off) – I’m sure it’s going to sell out quickly so make sure you buy soon if you’re interested!
