Friday Favorites

This week had both my mom’s birthday AND the second dose of my COVID vaccine, so I basically had more excitement this week than I did for the past few months combined! I’m going to do a full post about my vaccine experience next week (not because I’m any sort of medical expert, but because I know people are curious and want to hear about other people’s experiences). Needless to say, I’m so happy and it still feels surreal that I’ll be able to go places without feeling constantly stressed.

Also, I have an update on the red velvet cake from Milk Bar – so incredibly delicious. If you have any birthdays coming up in your life, this cake and/or a Milk Bar Pie make absolutely perfect celebratory desserts.

The rest of my week was most filled with snow and cold and more snow and cold. I am really, really very ready for spring!

And now, on to this week’s favorites.

Disaster in Texas
I cannot even imagine what’s going on in Texas right now – surviving a natural disaster is one thing, having to do it in the middle of a pandemic is another level. In cases like these, disabled people, who rely on electricity and running water for things like breathing machines, feeding tubes, etc., are often forgotten – it’s basically my worst nightmare. The Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies has some resources for disabled Texans who might be struggling right now – check them out if you need them, or donate if you’re able!

Lake Pajamas Sale
Since I have been spending LOTS of time in my PJs this year, I splurged and scored a pair of Lake Pajamas during their annual sale going on now! I can’t wait for them to arrive – everyone has nothing but amazing things to say about them. If you want to splurge too, hurry, because they tend to sell out quickly during their sale!

Perseverance lands on Mars
I’m not really a “space” person, but the footage of the Perseverance rover landing on Mars is still pretty cool. Did you watch it??

Side Parts are Over?
Have you seen that apparently, side parts and skinny jeans are over now, and center parts and boot cuts are in?? This is one of those times where I’m very glad that I don’t care about trends at all, because I will NOT be giving up my side part or my skinny pants any time soon!!

Bombas Compression Socks
I have really, really bad circulation, and my feet are always cold. I am never seen at home without a blanket on, but that’s still not enough. I have tried compression stockings in the past, but they are always so tight and restrictive and uncomfortable! I’ve only worn these a couple times so far, so it’s too early for a full review, but I am really, really liking these compression socks! They’re an updated version of the traditional compression stockings and a definite improvement.

I don’t even understand how I finished up here, however I believed this post was
once great. I do not recognise who you are but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger when you
    are not already. Cheers!
