I cannot believe that it’s been almost a full year that I have been using CBD. It’s something that the “me” of a few years ago would have rolled my eyes at (honestly, I probably did), but I’m so glad that I decided to give it a chance.
I already wrote one post about using Equilibria for CBD (this post here). It’s been almost six months since my first post about my CBD use, so I thought that I’d write a bit of an update for anyone who is still on the fence. I don’t want to repeat too much of what I already shared in the first post, so if you have any questions that I don’t address in this post, I might talk about them in that one. I just want to share a little update/check in this time.

I’m still using the same products – the Relief Cream and the Extra Strength Daily Drops. I still can’t get over how good the Relief Cream is – I consistently use it each month during my period, and it really takes the edge off of my cramps. It’s also great for tight/sore/tense muscles – my neck has been so tight lately from all the screen time, and rubbing the relief cream on my neck just loosens the muscles a bit to take away the tension. I don’t typically get headaches, but I know people love to rub it on their temples for one. Really, it just has so many potential uses.
The Extra Strength drops are what I use each night before bed – I take a full dropper (1 mL) each night maybe 30 minutes to an hour before I fall asleep. When I started using CBD, I was playing around with 1/4 dropper throughout the day, but it made me a little too relaxed and sleepy, so I switched to bedtime only. I’m actually considering buying some of the regular strength and trying some of that for intermittent daytime use, now that I know the extra strength is a little too much.
But the Extra Strength drops have really just completely changed my bedtime routine. I am definitely one of those people who finds that their thoughts can start to race when the day is over and I’m laying down in bed. Using the CBD drops is just enough to help me fall asleep quickly (even on nights when I had caffeine too close to bedtime or didn’t give myself enough time to wind down). They’ve also helped me to stay asleep and sleep deeply, which has been amazing. I stopped taking the CBD in between COVID vaccine shots (just to be safe!) and I could definitely notice a difference in my sleep quality when I wasn’t using the drops.
That little “experiment” of stopping the CBD in between vaccinations was a good reminder to me how important consistency is for CBD. Now that I’m another six months in, it’s basically second-nature to me to take my CBD now, and sticking with some sort of routine really is so important to getting the full benefits of it.
Exciting news – Equilibria is turning two months old this week! To celebrate, they’re offering 22% off through tomorrow, 3/23! If you’re a first time customer, you can also get $20 off with the code REFHEATHER.TOMKO. This is a great deal so if you’ve been considering CBD, now is the time to try!
