Some of you may have already been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for a few weeks now, but since I’m not a cardholder, I’ll get access tomorrow, July 28. I try not to overdo it with the sale – it’s really easy to get swept up and just buy, buy, buy. But if you stick to things that you really like, and staples rather than impulse buys, it can be a great way to take advantage of good deals.
The sale might not start until tomorrow, but I highly recommend going through and adding things to your “wishlist” ahead of time. Items tend to sell out quickly once the sale opens to the public, and having things in your wishlist can make shopping the sale a little easier. If something that you want is sold out, check again in a few days – once returns have processed, some things can come back in stock.
I’m sharing my picks below – I went through 42 pages of items to collect these! I tried to keep it streamlined and simple – things that I’d like even if they weren’t on sale.
Leopard Blanket // Ray-Ban Sunglasses // Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks // Paula’s Choice Exfoliant // White Sweater
White Cashmere Ruana // Leopard Transport Tote // Orange Red Sweater
Personally, I can never have enough soft, cozy blankets, and I’ve heard nothing but incredible things about this Barefoot Dreams one (I tried to get it last year during the sale, but it sold out). Ray-Ban sunglasses are never a bad choice, and I love the classic style of this pair. Some of the beauty deals end up not really being deals at all, but the Caviar Sticks and the Paula’s Choice Exfoliant are both staples in my normal routine.
Cashmere can be hit-or-miss in the sale (sometimes the quality isn’t great), but because this ruana is something that’s a layering piece, I don’t feel like I have to worry as much as I would with a sweater that will get a lot of wear-and-tear. I love the cozy look of this high-low, wool-blend sweater. I love that Nordstrom now carries some Madewell products – it’s one of my favorite places to shop. I love the color and style of this sweater, and the Transport Tote is one of their most-loved products… the fact that it comes in leopard print is just an added bonus!
