It feels like fall fashion is out in full force now – there are sweaters and capes everywhere! It was in the 80s here this past weekend, but before that we had a few days that never even broke the low 70s. So I’ve been reaching for some of my lightweight sweaters recently, and doing a bit of browsing for things that work for these temperatures. I thought that I’d share some of my favorite things that I came across.

Black Floral Smocked Midi // Sarah Flint Natalie Flat // Peach Ruffle Sleeve Top // Ribbed Front Button Dress //
Burgundy Crossbody // Metallic Crossbody
Turtleneck Sweater Poncho // Sarah Flint Bootie // Boxy Sweater Top // Side Zip Sneakers // Silk Blend Sweater //
Sheer Sleeved Bow Top // Smocked Red Top // Smocked Brown Floral Dress // Cashmere T-Shirt // Striped Blanket Skirt
Sweaters & Tops
It still feels too early in the season right now to wear a lot of my sweaters. So what I typically reach for this time of year is short sleeved sweaters, or tops that have sheer sleeves or lighter materials. I want things that can layer well, so that I can throw a cardigan or wrap over it in the early mornings/later evenings.
For sweaters, you definitely can’t go wrong with this cashmere t-shirt – it’s just the perfect classic. I love the little ruffle detailing on the sleeves of this little peach top. I have this silk blend sweater and can attest that it’s totally perfect for these days – so lightweight and comfortable. I think this boxy sweater (from Target!) might end up in my own closet soon; I love how easy-breezy it looks.
If you’re looking for something other than sweaters, there are some really cute options. I love the bow at the neck and the sheer sleeves of this pretty top. I love anything smocked and peplum, so this top is basically made for me – I love it!
Dresses
I love all the fall dresses that are coming out! I am so happy to see that the smocked trend is not going anywhere. This black floral smocked dress and this brown floral smocked dress is so cute, and so perfect for fall – sleeves, but not too heavy, and in slightly darker floral prints. I think that this plaid smocked dress is absolutely perfect – you could wear it now and keep wearing it well into the next few months. And for something a little more casual, I love how easy and comfortable this ribbed button-front dress is.
Shoes, Wraps, & Bags
My Sarah Flint Natalie flats (which I have a whole post about) are, in my opinion, the perfect fall flat – the color is just so perfect, and they’re so comfortable. These booties from Sarah Flint are also so great – I love the side zip (it makes them accessible and wearable for me) and the low heel. (Don’t forget! You can use SARAHFLINT-BAHEATHERREPORT for $50 off your first Sarah Flint purchase.) If you’re looking for something a little more casual, these zip-and-slip sneakers are really cute.
I don’t typically wear crossbody bags, but both of these are so great that I might make an exception. I’ve definitely been finding myself reaching for smaller and mid-size bags rather than larger ones. I love all things metallic, and cannot get over the sheen of this crossbody from MZ Wallace. And then the burgundy color of this quilted crossbody is so perfect for fall.
And my personal favorites – wraps and ponchos. I love this knitted poncho so much – I feel like it would layer over anything so easily and add warmth for chillier days. You could layer over a t-shirt for now and then layer over a long sleeved sweater as the temperatures drop more. I also love this blanket scarf – it’s the perfect easy thing to throw on. It’s large enough that you can wear it as a wrap, but lightweight enough that you could also wear it as a scarf. Perfect for these falls days.
