I have been meaning to write this post for a while now! I picked up the Always Pan a few months ago now, and have been testing it out and using it since then. I thought I’d share my thoughts on the cult-famous pan!

If your Instagram looks anything like mine does, then you’ve seen this pan seemingly everywhere. I was intrigued, and then it popped up as one of GMA’s “Deals and Steals,” so it seemed like the perfect time to try it. Since then, it’s been a regular fixture in my cooking.
What I Like
I have to start with the obvious – the pan is so pretty. It comes in lots of different colors (I have “Steam”), and it just looks so nice and chic sitting out in your kitchen. I know it’s a small thing, but I just like things that are aesthetically pleasing! Especially considering how many basic black and stainless pans are out there. It’s also super lightweight yet sturdy, which is a hard combination to master.
The non-stick coating is really great. You truly do need only a little bit of oil when you’re cooking, and still the coating works so well that things don’t stick! It is dishwasher safe technically, but I err on the safe side and stick to mostly handwashing to help the coating last as long as possible. The built-in steamer basket is also such a great feature – it works so well for vegetables especially! You can steam and then lift the little basket up to drain without having to get out a colander. It’s something that’s small but just helps streamline things in the kitchen.
There are two other features that I really like – the built in spoon rest, and the lid. It’s not something that’s “necessary,” per se, but it’s a really nice bonus. It keeps the wooden spoon from messying the counter, and it serves as a reminder to use the wooden spoon and not something metal that could scrape the pan and damage the coating. The lid is nice because if you turn it one way, it completes covers the pan, but if you turn it the other way, there’s a little vent to let steam and air out while still keeping the lid securely in place.
What I’d Change
The biggest issue I have with the pan is that it can’t go in the oven. I do have a Dutch oven that I love, and Our Place recently came out with their own version, but it’d be really nice if this pan was versatile enough to go from the stovetop to the oven. And I know this pan is supposed to replace other pieces of cookware, but I actually wish they offered a few different sizes, too. Sometimes I want something a bit smaller.
Overall Thoughts
It’s always so hard to judge if something is “worth it,” because it’s something that varies so much from person to person. But what I can say is that if you’re in the market for some kitchenware, the Always Pan will be a great addition to your collection.
