Summer is my favorite season, hands down. So while I don’t hate fall, it’s bittersweet for me since it means that summer is over. So to help me get more into the fall spirit, I thought that I’d come up with a bucket list of things that I’m looking forward to doing these next few months.

Have a Patio Bonfire
I tried to check this one off my list over the weekend, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. I love a good fire – it’s the perfect way to officially welcome fall. I love a spring or summer fire too, but there is something about the crisp fall air and the cozy warmth of the fire that’s just the absolute perfect combination. Plus – mountain pies and s’mores! You can’t go wrong.
Bake Pumpkin Muffins
I’m not someone who goes crazy for pumpkin, but I do enjoy it in my baked goods. I love Starbucks’ pumpkin muffins, with the delicious dollop of cream cheese baked into the middle of the muffin top. I want to try my hand at re-creating them at home so I can have a muffin every morning! I have my eye on this recipe – I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Buy a Fall Candle
I love a good (bougie) candle, especially in the fall. It’s really all about setting the mood and feeling all the fall vibes – it’s so cozy, especially with the flickering flame. A lot of candles give me headaches from the scents, but Diptyque and Hotel Lobby are both safe for me and smell so good. Hotel Lobby just came out with their “Cozy Collection,” so that’s at the top of my list!
Patio Dine Somewhere New
I really want to go out to eat (outdoors) a few more times before it gets too cold for me to enjoy it. I really want to check out Margaux – it looks so cute, both inside and out. And I’ve had Poulet Bleu on my list for a while now – their patio looks so chic and I need to remember to make a reservation early enough!
Have a Cozy Afternoon of Reading
When temperatures drop, there is truly nothing I love more than wrapping myself in a cozy blanket (my ChappyWrap, usually), planting myself near the fireplace, sipping a cappuccino or tea, and getting lost in a book for a few hours. It feels like the ultimate luxury – just pure relaxation. If I can’t read outside on my patio, this is the next best thing! It’s a way to take a break from my to-do list and just unplug and relax.
