Fancy Flats

Finding shoes that fit me well, are comfortable, and look cute is one of my biggest struggles. And when I need shoes for an event – a wedding, or just a fancy night out – it gets even harder! I can’t really wear heels comfortably because of the way that my ankles turn in, and I also wear a size 4 in women’s (or a size 2 in girls shoes!). Finding flats that are fancy but also classy (aka, not obviously glitter-covered kids flats) can be a huge challenge.

Product collage of three images of the Sarah Flint Gunmetal Lame Natalie flats, which are a pointy toe flat that's a silver metallic color with an asymmetrical bow.

So when I saw that Sarah Flint brought back their Gunmental Lam̩ Natalie flats, I was so excited. I already know how incredibly comfortable the Natalie flats are РI have a whole post talking about them. I wear my pair all the time! But the Gunmetal Lam̩ version definitely steps it up a notch (pun intended). How gorgeous are they?!

It’s the perfect silver metallic shade – sparkly without being too glittery. It’s fancy without being tacky or kitschy, which is a difficult line to toe (sorry, I just can’t quit with the shoe puns!). It looks chic and sophisticated. I can totally see myself wearing these to a wedding, or a gala, or just a fun night out. I love that they’re a shoe you can wear all night without having to worry about kicking them off before you head to the dance floor – or, in my case, not have to worry about my feet swelling and the shoes starting to pinch. They’re definitely an investment, but they’re so versatile that, to me, they’re worth it.

And honestly – I just love that they exist. Not everyone wants to or can wear heels! But that doesn’t mean we don’t want stylish, fancy flats. It’s great to see more options in shoes even if you’re not a high heel person. It just makes me feel like I’m seen and valued as a customer.

If you have an event coming up and don’t want to sacrifice comfort for style, I know that these flats won’t let you down!
