Advent Calendars

Growing up, one of my favorite things about December was the Advent calendar that we got to open each day. Ours usually weren’t fancy, but it was just the excitement of having something to look forward to each day that made it so much fun. Now that I’m older, I still love a good Advent calendar, but just a little bit more of an upscale version! I rounded up some fun options if you’re looking for a way to relive those childhood memories, or to start a new tradition!

Collage of Advent calendars: Volupsa candle calendar, Palais des Thes tea calendar, mini nail polish OPI calendar, dog treat calendar, L'Occitane calendar, Bonne Maman jam calendar, and Sugarfina calendar.

Bonne Maman // Sugarfina

You’ll notice that a lot of my Advent calendars are food/drink related. I don’t really like just random things that I don’t want / need, and I can be pretty picky! So food and drink are safe, and make for a fun treat to enjoy each night. This tea calendar is my personal favorite – I bought it for me + my sister last year, and enjoyed it so much that I re-ordered this year for both of us too! I’m not really a jam person, but if you are, I’ve heard really great things about this Bonne Maman calendar. Sugarfina candy is always a good choice, of course – this calendar isn’t shipping quite yet but should be available soon. And I don’t know if a dog treat Advent calendar really counts as food, but I obviously had to include it!

If you’re looking for calendars that aren’t food or drink, though, there are still options! This L’Occitane one has so many different products to try – and as a bonus, anything you don’t want would make a great stocking stuffer / little gift. This OPI calendar is great if you love at-home manis – there are so many different colors to play around with. And finally, if you’re looking for something with a little less commitment, this 12 day candle calendar looks really great and will give you so many new scents to experience.
