Holiday Outfit Inspiration

It’s that time of year again – holiday parties and gatherings are happening. I hope that you’re all still gathering safely and carefully, but this year definitely looks different than last with the availability of vaccines and boosters. I won’t lie – it’s fun to have a reason to get all dressed up again! But since I know people have different comfort levels with getting together (I am still on the very, veeeeery cautious side), I pulled together three different kinds of outfits for holiday dressing inspiration.

Cozy & Casual

I fully believe that you c an you cozy and still cute – this is great for a relaxed, laid back holiday get-together. For me, this is all about a pair of (stretchy, of course) leggings and a comfy sweater. These leggings being suede makes them just a little more dressed up, without taking away any of the comfort. This sweater is relaxed, but the knotted tufts are the perfect detail to give it just that extra something. I have another color of this mini clutch, and it’s so great as a grab-and-go bag (that you can also throw on as a crossbody!). And when you really want to be cozy and casual, is there anything better than a house shoe?! I love that the tassels make these shoes seem fancy, but they’re basically slippers.

Sparkly & Chic

This outfit has all the holiday elements – sequins and velvet – but stops a little shy of going all out. These faux leather leggings are great because they’re so chic and yet still so incredibly comfortable – basically, my ideal way of dressing. I love a good sparkle, and this sequin top is a nice festive color and brings the sparkle, plus is goes perfectly with the faux leather. Because I love the contrast of all the textures, I’d throw in a velvet clutch, too. And in my opinion, leopard is a neutral, so these leopard dress booties are the perfect addition to the outfit.

Glitz & Glam

Okay, so this outfit is kind of a lot, but it’s also my favorite! If you don’t want to go quite this all out, you can always pick and choose your favorite parts of the outfit. Could I really do a holiday outfit post without including a Nap Dress? (The question is rhetorical but the answer is obviously not.) The velvet Nap Dress (which I personally own in two colors…) is perfect for the holidays – it’s actually a mix of velvet and silk, and has the prettiest richness and sheen to it in person. While the dress alone is festive, adding this incredible sequined blazer just brings it up a whole other level. I love it so much! The blazer could also dress up a pair of faux leather leggings or even jeans if you wanted something a little more low-key. And then, as a finishing touch, these beautiful heels with a gold embellished toe cage are perfect. I want it all!
