Each January, I feel the need to get my life in order. I felt pretty refreshed coming back to work in January, and while the first week back was definitely a rough adjustment, I still have that feeling of motivation and productivity to get things in order. So I thought that I’d share some of my organizing essentials (and a few wishlist items, too).

Charging Dock // Leather Organizing Tray
Acrylic Letter Tray // The Vault Storage
Appointed Notebook // Acrylic Risers
Charging Dock
My last charging dock broke recently, so this is what I’m planning to replace it with. I have so many things to charge and they each come with their own wire, which end up all twisted and tangled on my desk. So I love that a charging dock like this can charge my phone, Apple Watch, and AirPods with only one wire! Plus, it looks nice and sleek on my desk.
Organizing Tray
I don’t have this exact tray, but I have a bunch of trays and valets of different shapes and sizes on my desk and my dresser. It works really well for me because it keeps things together and organized, but still easily reachable and accessible. I have limited areas that I can reach – I can’t always reach or open drawers and cabinets – so having things out, but nice and neat, is key for me.
Letter Tray
I love this little acrylic letter tray (and funny enough, my cat Simba loves it too – he lays on the top part all the time!). It’s a great way to store papers, letters, bills, etc. that you aren’t quite ready to file away yet, or a great place to put the things that you’re currently working on. And the drawer on the bottom is great little addition, too.
The Vault Storage
I don’t have a lot of room for file cabinets and storage, but I wanted to be able to have a place to keep things filed. I had some normal file folders, but honestly, I just kind of hated how they looked sitting out on my desk. Which is why I was so excited to find The Vault! It doesn’t look too “industrial” on my desk like the file cabinets did, and when you open it up, it has space to hold file folders and other keepsakes that you want to save but want to keep out of the way. It’s so great!
Appointed Notebooks
Just my favorite notebook, hands down. I love that it’s spiral bound, the cover is great and substantial, the pages aren’t too thin, and it’s lined (with the option for grid if you prefer). It also just gives me more motivation when I’m writing in a nice, pretty notebook! And as a bonus, these are my absolute favorite pens to use with the notebook.
Acrylic Risers
I use these to build some height for storage on my desk, while still (again) keeping things accessible. I use it to put my Echo, my Frame TV box, and my Comcast box on – so that they’re still useable, but they’re not taking up too much real estate on my desk (I have them stacked on top of each other). They’re simple but work well!
