All Things Spring

The weather has taken a turn around here lately – it’s been warm(ish), the sun has been shining, and it feels like spring is on the horizon! It’s honestly wild how much this change has done for my mood and my attitude. With so many heavy things going on in the world right now, it feels even more important to focus on the little good things all around. So I’m sharing my own list today of the things that I’m looking forward to about spring.

Reading on the Patio

I love setting the mood when I’m reading to really get lost in a book, and sitting on the patio is one of my favorite ways to do this. I can put some quiet music on or just listen to the ambient noise, have my coffee nearby, and just fully relax. It’s such a small, simple thing but it really is one of my absolute favorites! If it’s chilly, I might throw a ChappyWrap on my lap, too.

Going to Tea at The Frick

The Cafe at The Frick is one of my favorite hidden gems of the city – it’s a cute cafe on the beautiful grounds of the Frick estate, and the food is absolutely incredible. Their tea is the best part, though. They bring out the three-tiered tea services (including scones and clotted cream!!), and have so many different kinds of tea to choose between. I love sitting on their covered patio while I eat because the atmosphere is just so perfect. Plus, when you’re done, you can roam the grounds! Their tea service was closed last year so I’m really excited that it’s returned.

Having a Back Patio Bonfire with Friends

We got a SoloStove last year (I talked about it in this post) and only had one chance to try it out before it got too cold. I can’t wait until it’s warm enough again to have a few friends over for s’mores and mountain pies and a nice, toasty fire. It’s such a fun way to relax and catch up with friends – we always end up chatting for hours.

Going for Coffee at Margaux

I have wanted to check out Margaux for so long now, but I really want to go when it’s nice enough to enjoy their patio. It’s this really cute coffee shop / bar / cafe that opened maybe a year or so ago. I’ve seen so many pictures that look adorable, and their menu looks great too – especially their desserts! I love checking out a new-to-me coffee shop and Margaux seems to be the perfect one to add to my list.
