Fun Zebra Print Dress

I know that it’s nearing the end of the summer, and maybe I don’t need another dress, but I saw this zebra print keyhole dress and instantly added it to my cart. I just couldn’t resist! And I’m so glad that I went for it – I love it.

I really feel like the summer has flown – I’m in shock that it’s mid-August and that all my travel plans are now behind me. Summer is my favorite season by far, so I’m really trying to hold on to it as long as I possibly can, in all ways possible. And if one of those ways is buying another fun dress to wear, I’m all for it.

I am a big animal print person, but most of what I have is leopard print. A zebra print is something “new” for me, but I love it – it’s a little more subtle than the boldness of leopard, in my opinion. This zebra print is really fun – it feels a little more modern and updated because of the watercolor-like effect on the stripes. The a-line shape is great and classic, with the little keyhole in the middle adding a fun little updated detail.

The dress is 100% cotton, which means it feels so great on – lightweight and breezy! It doesn’t stick or cling to you at all, and the flowy shape of the dress itself just adds to that. The top has a layer of lining, but the skirt is unlined but not sheer at all, which I actually love. The skirt has enough volume all on it’s own that it doesn’t need another layer.

And I love that it’s brown rather than black for the zebra stripes, too. It feels like the perfect choice for a dress to wear now when it’s still warm out, and to wear in the fall with an added layer – maybe with a jean jacket like this or a leather jacket like this! And it could be dressed up or down, too. I wore it with these tie-up rope sandals for the daytime (they’re currently an extra 50% off their sale price with the code FLASH!), but would look equally cute with these Sarah Flint espresso croc slingbacks or pumps for a little bit of a dressier look (you can get $50 off your first pair of Sarah Flints with my code SARAHFLINT-BAHEATHERREPORT).

In terms of fit, I’m wearing the 00, and it fit me really well, though I will note if you have a larger chest you may want to size up. And best of all, the dress is under $100!
