All Things Tartan

It still feels a tiny bit early for real “holiday” content to me, but I cannot deny that tartan things are everywhere right now! I thought that I’d round up some of my favorites tartan plaid picks to share today.

Red and Blue Smocked Dress // Red and White Tartan Top // Blackwatch Ellie // Red Tartan Louisa

Blackwatch Athena // Navy and Green Plaid Cape // Red Tartan Cordelia // Blue and Green Plaid Top // Long Sleeve Tartan Dress

Blue and Green Shirtdress // Tartan Sweater Blazer // Plaid Skirt // Red Tartan Scarf // Blue and Green Smocked Midi Dress // Plaid Scarf

Tartan Dresses

I’m sharing my favorite tartan plaid dresses first – there are so many cute options! Of course, Hill House just released their holiday collection that was full of tartan. There’s the standard Ellie in the Blackwatch tartan, and also the Athena version if you’re looking for something shorter. I ordered the tartan Louisa style to try – it has the longer length plus short puff sleeves, which I think will be great for the fall and winter. Hill House also came out with the Cordelia style in tartan, which is short with some very cute ruffles on the sleeves!

But Hill House isn’t the only place to go for tartan dresses! This smocked midi comes in a festive red tartan, and this one comes in the more subdued navy and hunter green plaid print. I love that this smocked dress is midi length and also has long sleeves – it’s great for the cold. And this shirtdress style is so cute – I love the gold buttons going down the front

Tartan Tops, Skirts, and More

There are also lots of tartan non-dress options! This skirt is so classic and cute. I really love the ruffled mock turtleneck of this looser, boxy tartan top. And this red and white plaid top has a little ruffle at the neck, too. A sweater blazer is always a great addition to an outfit, and this one is such a classic tartan. I love adding in a splash of plaid with accessories for a fun little pop. I have a cape very similar to this one that I wear all the time in the fall and winter! It’s so classic and works so well with so many different outfits. And scarves are always a great choice too – this one is more of an all-seasons plaid with green and blue, while this one is a little more holiday with the bright red. Both are very cute!
