Friday Favorites

I cannot believe we are almost at the end of October! I’m not really a Halloween person (I did, however, buy a costume for Lily), so I don’t have any real plans for this weekend. I have finally started to feel a little more like myself, so I am trying to continue to take it easy and not overdo it! I’m also getting my COVID booster and flu shot today, so I wanted to keep my schedule free in case I have any side effects. Don’t forget to get yours!

On to this week’s favorites.

Ableist Coverage of John Fetterman

This article (written by a disabled journalist, of course!) is some of the best coverage that I’ve read about the ableism surrounding John Fetterman’s Senate run. It’s so frustrating to be reminded, over and over, how many people still believe disabled people aren’t fit to run for office simply because they’re disabled. I will absolutely be (mail-in) voting for Fetterman!

Shiny Silver Bag

I cannot resist metallic, shiny things, and this bag is no exception. I love the more classic mini tote shape mixed with the more modern iridescence of the silver leather! And it’s on sale right now, too.

Midnights (3 am edition)

I have obviously been listening to Taylor Swift’s latest album for the past week! I am eagerly awaiting news and dates for her tour. I think that Sweet Nothing and Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve are two of my favorites, but it’s hard to choose!

Spare by Prince Harry

WOW, the title and cover for Prince Harry’s book are so attention-grabbing! I pre-ordered this immediately and cannot wait to read it in January. I am really interested to learn the things going on behind-the-scenes over the last few years, and what it was really like. I feel like it’s going to be GOOD.
