September 2022 Favorites

For me, September was filled with some highs, but with some lows, too. It was my birthday month, which is always one of my favorite times of the year, but it was also when my current health issues came to a head, so I had to cut back on plans pretty drastically and quickly, which was a bit of a bummer. I’m going to focus on the good, though, and share my favorites from the month!

AYR T-Shirt

I have worn this shirt too many times to count since buying it a few weeks ago! It’s the perfect t-shirt and feels worn in already on the very first wear. I already have a whole post written about it so I’m not going to go into too much more detail here, but it’s just the best and I want (many) more.

Gilmore Girls

Since I had a lot of time at home in September, and since the weather started to cool off, I decided it was the perfect time for a rewatch of Gilmore Girls. It’s one of my comfort shows, and that’s what I needed this month. I basically have it memorized by this point, but I never get tired of it! It’s just a classic in my mind.

JVN Styling Milk

This has quickly become one of my favorite JVN Hair products! It’s the perfect styling product for me – it’s not fussy or complicated to apply, you literally just pump it into your hands and apply it all over your hair. It doesn’t add extra oil to my already oily prone hair, and keeps it smoother and frizz-free longer. I use it every time I blow dry my hair now.

Exciting news!! You can use my code JVNHeatherTom for 20% off JVN Hair products, as long as they’re more than 30 days out from their launch!

Birthday Dinner

I had the best birthday dinner at Senti with my friends. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, it was so great to see my friends and spend time together! Now that we’re older, it can be hard to find time that we’re all free, but somehow the calendars just aligned, and it was so much fun. Plus… I got this super cute dress from The RealReal and was very excited to get to wear it out!

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches

Hitha posted about this book and I was looking for something to break me out of a reading rut, so I gave it a try and it absolutely did the trick! It’s so cozy and perfect for fall – while it’s about witches and magic, it’s really about love and family and belonging. I finished it in a day and wished I could have spent longer in the world! I loved it.
