Thanksgiving feels like the perfect time to share all the things – big and small – that I’m feeling grateful for. Other than, of course, all of you! Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving.

A Few Days Off
I’m really, really grateful to have a few days off around Thanksgiving. I know I’ve been doing a lot of resting because my body has required it, but it’s not the same as having time off to do whatever I want, whenever I want! I need to shut off mentally for a few days, too, and just relax. I hope that you all get to do at least a little bit of the same!
Catered Thanksgiving Meal
We’re having a small Thanksgiving again this year – just my immediate family. For the second year in a row, we’re getting our meal catered from Mindy’s Take and Bake. It’s so convenient and makes the day SO much less stressful for us – we just have to reheat the food rather than cook from scratch! Holidays are always busy for us because my parents have to help get my sister and I ready, and get the food ready, too! So being able to take the majority of the food prep off the list is a major help.
Black Friday Sales
I’ve been indulging in a liiiiittle bit of retail therapy recently to lift my spirits (I know, I know…) so I’m feeling grateful for the sales that are enabling me. I picked up this ring from Catbird that I’ve had my eye on for a year now, and my mom and sister and I all got this nightgown from Lake to wear on Christmas. It’ll be just the pick-me-up I need!
Gilmore The Merrier on TV
Gilmore Girls is one of my comfort TV shows – I’ve seen it many, many times, but I am always up for a re-watch. There’s always a marathon of it on TV the week of Thanksgiving, and I’ve had it on basically all week long. I know that I could be watching it on Netflix anytime I wanted, but there’s something extra fun about watching it “live.”
Pumpkin Pie
Pumpkin pie is the one part of Thanksgiving that we’re not getting catered – I asked my mom to please make a pie (or two…) because they are, by far, my favorite part of the meal. I usually have a slice for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning, actually – it’s my little tradition that I’ve been doing since I was a kid and it just feels right to keep doing it.
