I have a tried and true skincare routine down pat, but I’ve been experimenting with some new products to try out lately, too. I’ve been using this cleanser for a few years now, and it’s a great gentle gel-based cleanser. If you’re wearing makeup, I’d use a micellar water first to take it off, and then use this to cleanse. It’s simple and won’t irritate your skin or overly strip it. The Foreo Luna facial cleanser device is an investment, but I love mine so much I even bring it with me when I travel. It’s like an ultrasonic, less abrasive version of a Clarisonic – it gently vibrates to help your face wash really get into your pores and clear them out. It helped me with breakouts so much once I started using it – it just really helps to get things clean, but isn’t at all abrasive.
This toner and this cult-favorite chemical exfoliator from Paula’s Choice are liquids that I swipe over my face in the morning – at night, I just use the toner. They’re super effective but gentle – the toner adds a little bit of moisture and balance, and the exfoliator keeps my pores free of oil and really helps keep my face from breaking out. The exfoliator plus the Foreo Luna are the two biggest things that really helped turn my skin around!
I alternate using this Biossance Resurfacing Night Serum and this Drunk Elephant TLC Serum at night as chemical exfoliators – they’re great at getting deep into the pores but also helping with any dark marks or texture on the surface of the skin. And this Hyper Clear serum is, by far, my favorite of any Vitamin C serum that I’ve ever used. It doesn’t have a smell and doesn’t turn my fingers orange, but works. I don’t always use a separate moisturizer at night, but when I do (especially in the winter), this Drunk Elephant Protini is the perfect lightweight gel moisturizer for me.
I just started using this Copper Peptide Serum from Biossance in the mornings – I really like that it doesn’t make my skin too greasy and works well under my sunscreen and makeup. I’m excited to try this neck serum with a roller built in to the end – I have neglected my neck completely up to this point! I have a whole post about how much I love the GrandeLash Serum – my lashes are noticeably longer now that I’ve been using it for two years, and I have no plans to (ever) stop. And this Kosas natural serum deodorant actually works but isn’t at all irritating, and comes in a fragrance-free version, which is rare.
And for the body – I have been using this body wash from Necessaire for a few months now, and the Sandalwood scent is just SO good, I can’t resist it! I also picked up this body serum to try out – my skin is not really dry, so lotions are often too heavy for me – I’m hoping this serum is a good in-between to just add a little bit of moisture without being too much

I’m not exactly a pro makeup artist – I tend to play it kind of safe. But this means that I’ve come up with a solid selection of products that are easy to apply, easy to wear, and look great. This cream stick foundation from Lancome is my absolute go-to – I love that I can make it more sheer or fuller coverage based on what I want that day because of how buildable and blendable it is. But if you’re looking for something super light that just blurs your skin and adds the barest wash of coverage, this Fenty Skin Tint is a great option.
For eyes, I typically use a cream shadow stick, because they go on so easily but once they set, they last. I’ve used both Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier and find both to work equally well! Bobbi Brown has this set of mini sticks with some of their most popular shades (all of which I own and love). And Laura Mercier has this mini set of the Caviar Sticks in the prettiest rose gold shades. I am really interested in trying this cream eyeshadow pot from Charlotte Tilbury – the metallic shades are beautiful. This mascara is a recent addition for me, but I love how it doesn’t clump or flake during the day and is a deep, intense black. I don’t wear eyeliner daily, but when I want to add a little depth to my lashline, this eyeliner pencil goes on pretty creamy but once it sets, it doesn’t budge!
I learned that the “whipped” blush I’ve been using for over five years is being discontinued, and I’m so sad! So I ordered this cheek palette from Pat McGrath to try. I have a few of her eyeshadow palettes that I use on the rare times I use powder shadow, and they’re super smooth and pigmented, so I have high hopes for this blush, too.
For lips, I tend to wear things that are more like a tinted balm than an actual lipstick. The Nars Afterglow lip balms are my favorite – you don’t need a mirror to apply them, they leave your lips feeling soft, and they add just enough color. The Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is another cult-classic that’s a great alternative. It’s a little less balm-y and has a little more color payoff, but you still don’t need a mirror when you’re putting it on.

Scalp Revival Shampoo // Complete Blowout Styling Milk // T3 Blow Dryer
Embody Shampoo // Embody Conditioner // Air Dry Cream

Finally – my favorite products for my hair! I actually keep it pretty simple here. When I’m washing my hair, I alternate between the Briogeo Scalp Revival Shampoo, which helps exfoliate your scalp and get rid of buildup, and a JVN shampoo – the Embody one is best for my hair, which is prone to get greasy quickly. And I follow up with the JVN conditioner both days.
I keep it similarly simple when I’m styling, too! If I’m blow drying my hair, I put this styling milk on my hair while it’s still wet. It helps keep my hair frizz-free and doesn’t weigh it down with too much product. If I’ve braided my hair, I add use this air dry cream after, once I’ve taken the braids out – it helps lock in the waves and smooths down any flyaways.
And the T3 blow dryer! I’ve been using T3 since sometime during college, I think. In my opinion, it’s the best dryer for my very, very thick hair. It doesn’t damage it with heat, doesn’t make it frizzy, but keeps the drying time to 15 minutes or so. If you knew how much hair I had, you’d understand what a feat this is!
