2022 Favorites

A week full of favorites! Yesterday was my December favorites, and on Thursday I’ll be sharing my favorite books from last year. Today, I’m sharing my favorite products from 2022 – not necessarily the ones that people purchased the most, but just the ones that I loved the most! It’s a nice mix of beauty, style, tech, and other accessories too.

Lactic Acid Serum // Copper Peptide Serum // Elizabeth Nap Dress // Electric Lighter // Air Dry Cream // Scalp Shampoo

Kitsch Hair Ties // LAKE Smocked Pajamas // iPad Mini // Catbird Ring // Sarah Flint Natalie Sling // AYR T-Shirt

eReader Page Turner // Apple Watch // Blurring Primer // Brow Gel

Mascara // New York Candle // Styling Milk // V-Wire Dress

Beauty Favorites

I found a lot of new skincare, haircare, and makeup favorites in 2022. This primer isn’t something that I use every day, but when I want to look especially polished, it keeps me skin oil free for longer than anything else ever has. This brow gel from Kosas is easy to apply, lasts all day without smudging, and matches my brow color perfectly. This mascara works really well at adding length and volume to my lashes without clumping them – and it’s a very deep, dark black, which is my favorite.

I discovered Biossance skincare products in 2022! This copper peptide serum that I use under my moisturizer in the morning brightens my skin without adding to much oil. And I use this lactic acid serum a few nights a week – it is incredibly effective at exfoliating and helping with any texture or dark spots on your skin.

For hair care – this Briogeo shampoo helps with oil and flakes without being too strong and overly stripping your hair. It feels and smells really nice, too! I don’t use it every day, just once or twice a week. I also started using JVN Hair products, and have two major favorites. The Air Dry Cream is amazing at helping to hold and define wavy / curly styles – it helps me extend my post-French Braid waves for a few extra days and keeps them looking sleek rather than frizzy! I use the Styling Milk every single time I blow dry – it helps my hair hold its style without making it look weighed down or greasy.

Style Favorites

I tried to keep this list to a minimum – a few new style products that I truly love and find myself reaching for all the time. The shorter, Elizabeth style Nap Dress is just perfect for me – since I’m so short, this hits a little below my knees and is just right for me and my proportions. This AYR t-shirt, similarly, is just a perfect fit for me – it’s boxy but not too baggy, it’s lightweight but not too thin, and is just the right amount of cropped. I’ve been a fan of LAKE pajamas for a few years now, but this smocked neck style is my newest favorite (that I’m slowly trying to stock up on…) – it feels a little bit heavier than the other styles, but is so nice and flowy! Finally, this black stretchy v-notch dress is just one of those dresses that just makes me feel great while I’m wearing it. It’s chic though simple, and has just the right amount of stretch in the jersey knit fabric.

And one pair of shoes to round out the section! I have a hard time finding dressy shoes that I can wear, because I almost exclusively wear flats. These metallic slingbacks from Sarah Flint are my answer – they’re dressy, still a flat, and are extremely comfortable – plus they come in a size 4!

Other Favorites

A few “accidentally adaptive” favorites made my list this year. The electric candle lighter is just so easy to use and convenient, and I find myself using it all the time. The same goes for the eReader page turner – it’s small but mighty! A few more tech items made the list, too. I have done so much more reading since I got my iPad mini – it’s the perfect size and weight for me to carry around with me at all times. And I didn’t realize how much I loved my Apple watch until I went without for a few months when my old one broke – I’ve worn it every single day since I replaced it.

These Kitsch hair ties are the only hair ties that can hold my hair AND don’t end up snapping after a few weeks of use. That’s a major feat and they’re now the only ones I use. This ring from Catbird is dainty yet unique, and I find myself staring at in on my finger each time I wear it. And finally – the New York candle from Hotel Lobby Candle. It’s the perfect sophisticated scent and I love it so much.
