Friday Favorites

This week has felt incredibly long as busy – I’m not sure what, exactly, it was that made it feel so exhausting, but on Thursday I was really convinced it should just… be Friday already. I honestly did not do a lot of browsing this week, so the favorites are shorter on articles this usual! There’s one heavier post, and then lighter things that I saw and bought or thought about buying.

On to the favorites.

Disability Day of Mourning Virtual Vigil

I mentioned in last week’s post that I was speaking at Pittsburgh’s virtual vigil for the Disability Day of Mourning – a day that commemorates disabled people who have been murdered by their parents or caregivers. The event was recorded if you’re interested in watching, but please know that the speakers talk about very heavy topics – if it’s not something you can mentally or emotionally listen to, that’s perfectly understandable.

Butterfly Clips are Back

I was browsing Target’s website earlier this week and couldn’t stop laughing when I saw that they were selling butterfly clips again!! These were an absolute staple of my childhood, and I’m struggling to believe that I’m old enough for them to have come back into fashion again. Honestly, I was joking with my sister that we probably still have some hanging around the house somewhere!! Fashion really is cyclical.

Spring Midi Dress

This one shoulder midi dress with a smocked top is just so cute. I’m really starting to get into a spring mood, and this seems like the perfect dress to match that – it’d look so good with a jean jacket thrown over the top for chillier days, too.

Glossier is at Sephora

Sephora is now carrying Glossier products! I tried a few a loooong time ago with mixed results (the skin tint was a miss for me, but their lip balm is great) and have wanted to try more but hate paying for shipping. I’m excited to try out some of their newer things now that they’re at Sephora – I already placed an order for Boy Brow and can’t wait to test it out.
