April 2023 Favorites

Happy May! I did my fair share of shopping in April… especially near the end of the month, when the Shopbop Sale and the Sephora Sale were both going on around the same time. I haven’t gotten the chance to try out all of my new things yet, but I have a few new favorites from April in today’s post, and a few things that I bought a while ago but just really loved last month.

Happy Place by Emily Henry

I finished this book about a day too late for my April reading post, but I loved it so much. I actually finished it in about 24 hours, because I just could not put it down once I started reading. I just love how Emily Henry writes rom-coms so much – they give you the happy ending that you want, but the characters are dealing with real issues along the way. I especially loved the strong friendships in this one, too. Absolutely a favorite of the month.

Revlon Oil-Removing Rollerball

I started using this a while, but then kind of forgot about it for a while? But I was reminded of how much I love it a few weeks ago. It’s a reusable replacement for those oil-blotting papers. The little rollerball is made of volcanic clay of some sort, and you just lightly roll it over your face to absorb excess oil. And you just pop it out and rinse under water when it gets too saturated. I just bought another so I have one in my purse and one at my desk at all times.

Solo Stove

This is not new, but it’s back on the list because it’s finally patio fire pit weather again! I love the Solo Stove so much – I have the Bonfire size, which is the largest – and can’t believe I ever used anything else. It’s so easy to light and keep burning, and the lack of smoke is basically life-changing. It is a forever favorite at this point!

Square iPhone Case

I do still love my Bandolier case, but while I’m just at home, sometimes I want something a little bit lighter (and easier for me to physically lift). I decided to try out this case with square corners, and I think I’m kind of obsessed. The square corners just make it look a little bit different and a little… chic, I think. I’ve gotten lots of questions about it, which I think is a good sign!

Addison Bay x Grace Atwood Crewneck

This 3/4 puff sleeve crewneck from the Addison Bay x Grace Atwood collection quickly made it into April’s favorites! It’s lightweight but warm and cozy, soft but not fuzzy, and the puff sleeves and boxier shape keeps it looking cute and not too sweatshirt-y. It’s definitely going to be a constant in my loungewear rotation.

Fenty Pro Matte

I picked this up during the Sephora Sale in a mini size to try out, and I was really impressed! Sephora is no longer carrying my go-to foundation, so I’ve been testing out a few different ones, and this is the first one that I really loved. It goes on really smoothly, blends easily, comes in so many shades, and wears really nicely throughout the day. I’m definitely going to keep using this.
