My Fall Style Inspiration

Now that the seasons are changing and it’s starting to feel like fall is really here, I’ve been doing some online browsing – and some shopping, too – to pick up a few new things for the season. After (maybe too much) browsing, I came up with some basic inspiration for my fall shopping – trends that I’m seeing and loving, and what I’m gravitating towards.

Striped Crewneck // Adaptive Jean Jacket // Tie-Back Cable Knit

Cable Knit V-Neck // Silver Loafers // Jean Jacket // Black Chunky Loafers

Green Side Zip Pullover // Striped Pointelle Knit // Shawl Collar Pullover // Black Loafers

Cozy Pullovers

Fall really makes me want to lean into all the cozy vibes. I just want to be comfy all the time, but still look a little bit put together. This quarter-zip is just that – it’s a little oversized, but the shawl collar keeps it from looking too relaxed. And this pullover from Addison Bay is a great option, too – I love the zippers at the bottom, they’re such a great added detail.

Stripes

I keep seeing stripes everywhere I look, and I’m really loving them! This striped sweater is just classic preppy chic, you really can’t go wrong. And this striped version has a pointelle knit, which gives it just a little something different. Plus, it’s cashmere, which is another of my very favorite things.

Jean Jackets

My recent obsession with jean jackets is probably due to the fact that I can finally wear one again, now that I found this adaptive version from Target. But jean jackets are also just quintessentially fall, and I’m loving that they look equally cute over a dress as they do paired with pants. They’re the perfect transitional piece! This is a great option for a non-adaptive jean jacket.

Loafers

Loafers are seriously in again, and I love it because it reminds me so much of late 90s / early 2000s style that I grew up with. These loafers are a good, more low-key pair – they’re a classic, timeless version. For something a little more trendy – and more reminiscent of my childhood – I love this pair with a chunkier heel. And if you’re really looking for a pop, these loafers in metallic silver are so much fun!

Cable Knits

Cable knit is not a new favorite, but I’m including it because there are some really cute versions of it that I’m seeing! I love the v-neck and the slightly boxier fit of this cable knit sweater. But I think this one, with a tie back, is my absolute favorite! It’s so unexpected and adds the perfect little detail – and for me, the tie will make it so much easier to get on and wear.
