Faux Two Piece Dresses

I’ve been seeing an exciting style trend recently when I’ve been browsing – so many more faux two piece dresses! I’ve mentioned before that I wear dresses almost exclusively because they’re the easiest and most comfortable for me, but sometimes that gets a little boring. These faux two piece dresses give the illusion that you’re not wearing “just” a dress, without having to worry or deal with the bulkiness of layering pieces, or having them wrinkle and not lay right. I’m so happy to see more of these popping up, and thought I’d share some of my favorites.

Black and White Combo // Olive Midi // Grey Cable Shirtdress // Blue Knotted Top

Blue Mockneck Mini // Navy Scalloped Top // Mixed Media Patterned Skirt // Gray Open Back

Mini Dresses

I love the monochromatic look of this minidress in shades of blue! The colors are gorgeous, and the short sleeves mean it’d be easy to throw a jacket over it as temperatures continue to cool. This cable knit shirtdress is such a classic style, and I love the sweater and button down mix of fabrics. How cute is the scalloped bottom on the sweater of this dress? I love how the back of the grey sweater on this dress is open and ties on this dress – gives it even more adjustability. And I own and love this black and white dress (I wrote about it here) – the top is a super comfy and stretchy ribbed knit.

Midi and Maxi Dresses

The little knotted detail on the sweater top of this dress is so cute – it just gives it that little extra something. I love the olive green color of this long dress – it’s such a great shade for fall. And this printed pattern on the skirt of this dress is great – it really helps it to look at feel like two separate pieces that were put together!
