New Year’s Eve Outfits

I love a good sparkle, sequin, or metallic detail year round, so I really love that New Year’s Eve gives everyone permission to really go all out and embrace the shine. Whether you’re going out or staying in (or, like me, don’t know what your plans are yet!), I’m sharing some inspiration for New Year’s Eve outfits.

Silver Faux Leather Pants // Mixed Metals Earrings // Black Cape Dress // Silver Sequin Jumpsuit // Black Pleated Minidress

Black Feather Trim Top // Metallic Pleated Jumpsuit

Metallic Pajamas // Feather Bag // Sequin Top // Sequin Pants // Black Fringe Dress // Feather Sweater

Disco Ball Earrings // Faux Leather Top // Silver Bag // Black Sequin Skirt

Staying in…

I love a good New Year’s Eve in – going out can be fun, but can also be overwhelming! Staying in doesn’t mean you have to wear pajamas, but it does mean you can, and this sparkly set from Victoria’s Secret would be absolutely perfect for that. I also love this sequined lounge set from Anthropologie – the top and bottoms are sold separately, and they’re kind of pajamas-adjacent, plus SO cute. I think this cable-knit sweater with some feather accents is perfect, too – it would look equally great with leggings or jeans, depending how comfy you want to be. The same goes for this black cropped tee with feather trim – pair it with leggings for ultimate at-home comfort, or pair it with this pair of faux leather silver metallic pants for something just a little bit more dressed up.

…or going out!

I’m not typically a big jumpsuit person, but something about a shimmery jumpsuit just feels right for New Year’s Eve. This one is a little bit of a splurge, but I love the pleated metallic sheen of this strapless one. This super cute silver sequin one is more affordable but no less sparkly, and is great if you’re somewhere it’s a little bit chillier, because it has sleeves!

If you’re not a sparkle and shine person, New Year’s Eve is also the perfect opportunity to rock a chic little black dress – especially if it has a fun twist! This floaty, pleated mini little black dress would make me want to spin all over the dance floor. I am always here for a cape moment, and I love the sheer top and the cape detail on this otherwise simple black dress! This black sheath dress has the funnest fringe on the bottom, and is also under $100!

If you’re more into separates, I love this black faux leather top – especially paired with this sequin slip skirt. I think the mixture of texture with the sequins and (faux) leather is a great combination.

And we can’t forget about the accessories! I love the mix of silver and gold in these earrings, and the fact that they’d match with any outfit you pick. These little tiny disco ball earrings are so cute, too. I love this fluffy feather bag from J.Crew – it has so much movement and is just so festive, but it’s on the pricier end. I think this silver beaded bag is another great option, and is on sale right now, too.
