I know this is a few days late, but we’re in the midst of gift guide season here too, so my “regularly scheduled programming” is a little bit thrown off. But here we are now with all of my favorites from last month!
I had a wedding to attend over Thanksgiving weekend, and used it as an excuse to buy the glitter Ellie Nap Dress. However pretty it looks online, it one one million times prettier in real life – the sparkles are just unreal. I honestly have never felt this good in a fancy dress! It’s currently on (MAJOR) sale, but there are only a few sizes left, so if you’re interested I’d hurry.
I picked up the FrizzFighter attachment for my Shark FlexStyle during the last Sephora sale, and I’ve been so impressed by how well it works. It took me a few attempts to figure out how to use it – you kind of have to hold it perpendicular to your hair – but once I got it down, it was so easy. You just run it down sections of your hair, and it noticeably smooths and defrizzes. My hair has been looking so good that I actually got asked if I’d gotten a haircut!
I have been eyeing this ring for months now, and when Catbird had an early Black Friday sale, I decided to go for it. I basically haven’t taken it off since it arrived! It’s definitely more of a statement ring look than I’m used to, but I really love it – the feel of it and the gorgeous design. It just makes me happy each time I look down and see it.
Clinique sent me this mascara last month, and I loved it enough that I’ve given it a permanent spot in my makeup routine. I love how it instantly makes my lashes look darker, longer, and thicker – one coat honestly looks pretty great, but it doesn’t clump with more coats, either. And I haven’t really had any smudging issues, even on my oily skin.
Reading Warrior Girl Unearthed – and getting to virtually meet new friends and talk about the book! – was absolutely a highlight of November. I highly recommend the audiobook for this one – it was really helpful to hear the indigenous words, because I likely wouldn’t have known how to pronounce them!
Pumpkin Pie for Breakfast
Ending this list on a light note – my favorite part of the Thanksgiving holiday season is being able to eat pumpkin pie for breakfast until it runs out. It’s just such a delicious treat and feels like an amazing way to get into the holiday spirit!
