Recent Amazon Buys

It’s been a while since I’ve done a round up of my recent Amazon purchases, so now seemed like a great time. This one is a real mish-mash of all sorts of things, which, when I think about it, is really par for the course for anyone’s Amazon buys! So here’s what I bought recently from Amazon.

Travel Makeup Bag

I bought this on the recommendation of Sarah at My Sister Made Me Buy It – and actually picked one up for my sister, too! I have never really found the best travel case for my makeup, and while I haven’t gotten the chance to try this one out yet, I’m intrigued. It drawstrings all up into a little satchel, but then opens up and lays flat. It seems like that might be the easiest way for me to actually be able to reach and use things out of my bag – I guess I’ll find out!

Cat Water Pad

My cat, Nala, has this habit of dipping her paw into her water dish and then licking the water off her paw. It’s cute, but it also leaves little drops of water all over the floor around the bowl. This little pad is non-slip, and at least helps a little bit in keeping the water off the floor.

Elnett Hairspray

I’ve been using this for years now, but had to stock up as I was close to running out. It is one of the most classic, iconic hairsprays – it’s nothing fancy, but the hold is amazing, and it’s super brushable, too. I actually just saw an article where Victoria Beckham was shown using this hairspray, so I feel like I definitely am making the right choice!

Automatic Beauty Dispenser

I actually have a whole Accidentally Adaptive post about this, but my old one broke and I couldn’t quite figure out how to make it dispense again. They were out of stock for a while – I kept checking back every few days, and was afraid they were never coming back; I can’t find anything else similar online anywhere! So once they did come back in stock, I actually bought two of them juuuust to be safe.

Towel Warmer

This was actually a gift, not something I bought myself, but it’s so great that I wanted to make sure to include it. I love being able to have a warm towel when I get out of the shower (especially now, in the winter), and I also use it when I want to warm up the blanket that’s almost always laying on my lap. There’s nothing better!

Kitsch Hair Ties

My last pack of hair ties is starting to reach that stage where they’re too stretched out to fit in, so it was time for a re-order. I will never go back to using any other kind of hair ties – these actually hold my hair without pulling too much, and they leave less of a crimp in my hair than normal hair ties do. They’re made out of the same material that tights / nylons are, so they’re super stretchy, but I’ve never had one snap on me.

Mattress Protector

One of the messy downsides about using a feeding tube at night is that occassionally, something comes disconnected and ends up leaking – either while everything is getting hooked up, or at night when I’m asleep and don’t realize. So I always use a mattress protector, but it’s just nice to have a backup for when the first needs to be washed.

Smart Space Heater

Another replacement product – my last space heater broke! I am always, always cold, so my space heater gets a lot of use, and I consider a few years to be a good life for it. I love having a smart heater, because I can tell Alexa (or use my phone) to turn it on while I’m still in bed, which makes getting out of bed in the winter a tiny bit less miserable!
