Shopping the Sephora Sale

It’s time again – the Sephora Sale is here! For Rouge members, the sale starts today, and runs 4/5 – 4/15, with 20% off. For VIBs, it starts on 4/9 with 15% off, and for Insiders, it starts on 4/9 with 10% off. The code for all levels is YAYSAVE. Just like in other years, I’m rounding up my tried-and-true favorites, plus one or two things I haven’t tried yet but am buying myself this time around. As a warning, this post is long! But I wanted to make sure I really detailed all my favorites by category.

Starting off with skincare – I’ve really been overhauling my routine lately, so this is a mix of newer additions, plus some old standards that I’ve been using for years now.

Toners and Exfoliants

Weightless Advanced Repairing Toner: I love this lightweight toner from Paula’s Choice. It’s a great way to add back some moisture into the skin after washing, and it soaks in so easily.

2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: This is a cult-classic for a reason! It’s just a great, effective liquid exfoliant with 2% salicylic acid that is super helpful for clearing up acne and keeping pores nice and clear.

Squalane + BHA Pore-Minimizing Toner: This product from Biossance is a great combination toner and exfoliant. It has squalane to add moisture back into the skin, but also has BHAs to exfoliate and keep your pores clean.

TLC Glycolic Night Serum: I’ve been using this serum from Drunk Elephant for years now! Its a nice, thin serum that has a combination of AHAs and BHAs to both gently exfoliate deep in your pores and exfoliate any dryness or patchiness on the surface of the skin.

The Depuffer Roll-On Serum: This is one that I haven’t tried yet, but am looking forward to! It has a built in roller to gently massage and help with puffiness, plus ingredients to help with redness, which I have a lot of.

Squalane + Copper Peptide Serum: This is a great serum for adding moisture and plumpness back into the skin – I’d definitely use this in the morning! Peptides are especially great for smoothing out fine lines, too, and this serum soaks in so quickly.

Deliverance Serum: I really love this serum from Dieux. It has been amazing at soothing my skin and evening my skin tone – my face just looks better and brighter when I use it. I’m so impressed by it!

25% Vitamin C: Vitamin C is one of those products that I keep trying to find juuuust the right serum for. I’m really interested in this one from Paula’s Choice – I completely trust them to make effective products, and I’ve heard great things about this one!

Everything Else

Soy Face Cleanser: I’ve been using this for about six months now, and it’s a classic for a reason. It’s a gentle gel cleanser, but does a great job at getting the oil and dirt off my face when I use it.

Air Angel: I love this gel moisturizer from Dieux! It is just enough moisture for my oily skin without adding too much product – I don’t feel like my pores are getting clogged, but I wake up with glowing skin when I use this the night before.

GrandeLash Serum: My love for this is no secret! I’ve been using it for over two years now, and I just love how well it works. My eyelashes are absolutely noticeably longer. I only need to use it every other night now to keep the effect.

Moving on to my favorite hair and body care products next, which are kind of skincare-adjacent.

Hair Products

Scalp Revival Shampoo: I love this exfoliating shampoo from Briogeo! It really helps get rid of the oil and buildup on my scalp, but doesn’t overly strip it, either. I use it once a week to do a nice, deep cleanse of my hair, and it works so well.

Living Proof Blowout Spray: This is my new go-to spray for wet hair before I style. It does so much – it’s a heat protectant, plus it adds some nice hold to my hair without weighing it down or making it extra greasy. It’s so easy to use and I love it.

Air Dry Cream: I use this any time I have wavy hair, as a way to lock in the waves and keep them from getting frizzy and unmanageable. I’ll also use it to smooth and revive day two (or three…) waves – it keeps them looking fresh and smooth so much longer.

AirWash Dry Shampoo: I’m SO excited to try this product. It’s a non-aerosol spray dry shampoo, that’s supposed to actually leave your hair looking and feeling cleaner, rather than that powdery feeling you get from aerosol versions. I hope it works!

Body Products

Body Serum: I’m not a huge lotion person, but I do love this serum from Necessaire. It soaks in so much faster than a lotion, and I don’t get that sticky lotion feeling afterward.

Serum Deodorant: This serum deodorant from Kosas is the deodorant I use every day. It’s actually an exfoliant, and it kills the odor-causing part of sweat (though doesn’t make you stop sweating). And it actually works!

Body Wash: I love this body wash from Necessaire. It smells great (I’ve used both Sandalwood and Eucalyptus), lathers up nicely, and just feels so nice on my skin – both during and after the shower.

Play Sunscreen: This sunscreen from Supergoop is my favorite to use all over my body in the summer months. It soaks in really nicely, and doesn’t leave me feeling either too sticky or too greasy. You could definitely use it on your face, too!

Shop hair and body care:

When it comes to makeup, I’m more of a basics person. I’ve definitely played around with fun eyeshadows and eyeliners, but day-to-day, I go with a pretty simple look that’s tried and true and works for me!

Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation: I really love this foundation. It’s buildable, from medium to full coverage, and even without powder or setting spray it lasts all day (even on my oily skin!). There are so many shades to choose from, and it works really well with all my other makeup.

All Nighter Setting Spray: I don’t use setting spray daily, but for big occasions where I know I want my makeup to last, I use Urban Decay’s All Nighter Spray. It really does keep my makeup intact – I used it for the Eras Tour, and my face looked surprisingly great many, many hours later.

Dew Blush: This liquid blush from Saie is my go-to for daily use. It has a doe foot applicator, so I just pop a few dots on my cheeks and blend with a brush (you could use your fingers, too!). It’s really easy to blend, and gives a nice, natural flush that can be built up for more of a pop.

Jelly Blush: This jelly blush from Milk Makeup is so unique! It’s got a jelly-like texture, and feels squishy and cooling as it’s being applied. But once it sets, it does NOT budge – you have to blend quickly!

Maracuja Lip Plump: I love this lip balm / gloss / stick hybrid from Tarte. It feels slightly tingly and minty when applied, and it’s a nice balm-like texture, but it leaves such a nice, shiny, tinted finish on your lips. I’ve been wearing it a lot!

Poutsicle: This is a great stain from Fenty. You apply it like a gloss, let it sit for about two minutes, and then wipe it off for a really nice, pigmented stain that lasts for quite a while, and fades nice and evenly.

Lip Butter Balm: This is the perfect tinted lip balm. You don’t need a mirror to apply it, and it leaves your lips with a nice tint and shine without being too thick or sticky. It’s nice and moisturizing, too.

Tinted Lip Oil: Rare Beauty’s tinted lip oil leaves such a pretty wash of color and shine on your lips. I love how nourishing it feels when it’s applied, and it never gets patchy as it wears off, just fades slowly.

Afterglow Lip Balm: I have been using this lip balm from Nars for years now, and I have it in almost every color. It looks like a lipstick, but is actually a balm that leaves just a tiny tint, and it’s not sticky at all. I love how easy to use it is!

Eyeshadow Primer: My skin – including my eyes! – gets very oily, so if I’m wearing eyeshadow, a primer is a must. This one from Nars is my favorite – it’s super easy to blend out, and it works really well to keep my eyeshadow in place, but is super easy to remove, too.

Cream Shadow Sticks: This shadow sticks from Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier are my most used shadows! I love how easy they are to apply – you just “draw” it on, and then can smudge and blend with your finger. They’re so pretty, too! They’re basically all I wear anymore.

Brow Flick: I never thought I’d use a brown pen, but this one is so easy to use it’s basically foolproof. It has a thin felt tip, and I just draw little “flicks” to fill out my brows a little more. A few flicks goes a long way, and my brows look defined without being too bold.

Brow Gel: I use the tinted version of this – some days on it’s own, some days on top of the Brow Flick pen – and it’s just a nice gel that adds some hold, some tint, and makes my brows look a little “fluffier,” too. It’s not too bold, but just enough for me for a slightly more polished brow look.

High Impact Hi-Fi Mascara: I was gifted this mascara months ago now, and have repurchased it multiple times now because I genuinely love it. It adds length and volume, and doesn’t get clumpy or flake off or smudge throughout the day.

And one bonus…

Perfume Sampler: I think this is going to go quickly. You get a deluxe sized sample of multiple fragrances, and then when you decide which you like the most, there’s a voucher included for a full-size of a

Finally, the tools that I love – for hair, face, and more!

Shark FlexStyle: This has been a game-changer for me and my hair. I can rough dry with no attachments, and then either use a brush to get my hair nice and smooth, or the curling attachment to get a pretty, bouncy curled blowout look. It has made it SO much easier for me to get a blowout-like look at home, which is huge for me.

FrizzFighter Attachment: For me, this is a must-have attachment for the Shark FlexStyle. I use it as the last step in my blow dry, and it helps to get rid of and smooth down frizz that happens by the end of the styling. And it just actually WORKS! It’s so easy to use, too – you just run it down the lengths of your hair.

T3 Blow Dryer: If I wasn’t using my Shark, I’d be drying my hair with a T3. It cuts down on drying time, but also doesn’t damage my hair while drying. It’s relatively lightweight, too, and my T3 dryers have always lasted for years and years.

Drybar Curling Iron: I have a single barrel version of this, but if I were to buy it now, I’d buy this one with interchangeable barrels. I love how well the Drybar curling iron works to create a curl in my very thick, very straight hair that actually lasts.

Foreo Luna: This is another one of my absolute essentials. I use this every single day to wash my face – I even bring it with my when I travel – because it does an amazing job at cleansing my face without irritating it at all. I’ve been using it for years and years and years, and it really helped to turn my acne-prone skin around.

GrandeLash Heated Curler: I have an love this innovative heated curler. Unlike a typical clamp-like curler, this one uses heat. You just press the heated end of the curler against your lashes, pushing them up – the heat helps to lock in this lifted position. And the best part is that it’s mobility disability friendly – there’s nothing to squeeze! It’s less potentially damaging for your lashes, too, and super simple to use.
