Friday Favorites

The weather has been so, so gorgeous this week. It’s been summer-like, with highs in the 70s and 80s, and I have been spending as much time as humanly possible outside on my patio, reading or working or snacking. I am truly in my element in the summer, and I can’t wait for the weather to stay like this! It really just put me in the best mood, and I am so excited for more weeks like this.

On to the favorites!

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

I’ve used Supergoop’s Play sunscreen for my body before, but somehow never tried their Unseen Sunscreen for my face. And I can’t believe I’ve waited so long, because it’s great! It leaves no cast whatsoever – it has a thicker but gel-like consistency – and it works equally well on a bare face as it does under makeup. I’m a huge fan.

Daniel Radcliffe After Potter

I am not someone who has closely followed Daniel Radcliffe’s career post-Harry Potter, but I am a big fan of musicals and Broadway, so I knew he was performing in Merrily We Roll Along right now. But even without being a superfan, I thought this was a great interview with him. I’m always impressed by how he has continued to speak out against J.K. Rowling’s transphobia.

Kelly Clarkson Clip

I am a huge fan of The Princess Diaries movie – it has stayed in my rotation of movies that I’m always happy to watch. So this little recreation that the Kelly Clarkson Show did on Instagram of one of the funniest scenes in the movie? Genius and perfect!

Bee Guy

I saw this on my Instagram, and I just think it’s so wholesome – a beehive delayed the start of a baseball game, and they had to call the “bee guy” to come move the hive. They even played “Holding Out For a Hero” over the stadium loudspeakers while he walked on the field! I’m headed to a baseball game tonight myself, and am hoping that it’s bee-free.

We spend a ton of time perfecting our skincare routine for our faces, but a lot less thinking about the products for the skin on the rest of our body! This New York Times article gives some tips on the best ways to take care of all of your skin – nothing fancy, just some basic best practices.
