I’m at that point in the summer where I’m not quite ready to admit to myself that it’s going to come to an end – when I sat down to write this post, I kept trying to call it June Favorites rather than July! But whether or not I’m ready for it, August is here, and today I’m sharing my favorites from July.
Ribbon Ellie Nap Dress
I think this might be the perfect summer Nap Dress. I love the print, and the linen fabric is so, so nice – lightweight and breezy and SO soft and not wrinkly at all! And the ribbon tie straps are perfect for me, because it makes the dress completely adjustable. I love it!
Toiletry Bag
I took this toiletry bag with me on my trip to Cedar Point and was reminded what a great bag it is. I was able to fit all my toiletries and makeup in the bag – including a full sized can of hairspray! – with room to spare. It has so many different pockets inside to keep things separated and organized, and can be easily wiped clean in case of any spills. As a bonus, it’s so affordable!
MicroStitch
I shared about the MicroStitch in this Accidentally Adaptive post – it creates a tiny plastic “stitch” you can use on your clothing. So many of my summer tops and dresses have straps that are too long for me, so I’ve gotten a ton of use out of the MicroStitch this month! It’s so incredibly to use and the stitch is invisible – no more safety pins in my clothes that I have to camouflage!
A Novel Love Story
If you’ve ever wished you could live inside your favorite book, you need to read Ashley Poston’s latest book, A Novel Love Story. Eileen is having a terrible year, and when the rest of her book club bails on their annual getaway, she decides to go anyway – alone. But when her car breaks down along the way, she inexplicably finds herself stranded in the small town that her favorite romance book series is set in! It’s kind of a book version of Schmigadoon! and Once Upon a Time, and I couldn’t stop reading.
Tom Ford Soleil Blanc
Soleil Blanc is my newest addition to my ever-growing perfume collection (which I shared about in this post), and it’s just the perfect summer scent. It kind of smells like what I imagine a fancy vacation to somewhere on the coast of Italy would – sun and sand and expensive sunscreen and drinking Aperol spritzes outside. It’s just so, so good.
Senti
I finally made it back to one of my absolute favorite Pittsburgh restaurants in June – Senti! It’s an Italian restaurant in Lawrenceville, and every single thing I’ve ever ordered there has been incredible. Plus, they have a super cute little patio that’s perfect for a nice, relaxed summer dinner – it was just a perfect Pittsburgh evening out.
