Recent Beauty Favorites

It’s been a while since I’ve done a beauty post, and I have some new products I’ve been using and really loving! Truthfully, I often stick with the same tried-and-true products, but I’ve been trying to branch out more and try new things. So today I have a mix of face, eye, and lip products that I’ve added to my rotation.

Face and Eyes

I’m going to do a full post soon on all my favorite Rare Beauty products, because I’ve been really impressed overall, and the most recent one I’ve tried is the new pressed powder! I got the puff, too, which comes in a little silicone sleeve so keep it from getting dirty / to keep my bag from getting dirty from the puff. I love how easy it is to use – just rub the puff into the compact a few times, and then pat all over my face! It’s a nice, natural matte finish, and it blurs my pores without ever looking too cakey. It feels really nice and smooth, too!

These Urban Decay eyeliners are a little out of my comfort zone, but I bought one for an event and then actually ended up buying a second color because I was so impressed. They glide on so smoothly, and they do not budge at all once they’re on, even without eyeshadow primer. They have more natural colors, too, but I picked up a blue and a green, and they add a really fun, graphic pop to an otherwise natural makeup look! And this glitter liner is just a way to add even more fun and sparkle to a look. I put the liquid glitter liner over the matching gel pencil liner, and it adds just the right amount of dimension and shine. And unlike some other glitters, it was super easy to remove.

Lips

I am very much a tinted lip balm or lip gloss person, and I am forever adding new ones to my collection! I love anything that I can put on without a mirror and still know it will look good. This Rare Beauty gloss has just enough color, and is shiny but not too sticky. And the flat edge on one side is a genius design – no more rolling off my vanity! The Kosas Lip Oil is a bit more sheer, but feels so nice on – definitely adds a nice layer of moisture to my lips. And I really love this tinted balm from Fenty – it has a suprisingly great color payoff, but isn’t too lipsticky – there’s still no mirror required.
