This last month has been quite packed for me – a lot of it moved so quickly that I really had to stop and think and reflect while writing this post! Here are the things that brought me joy over the last month.

Visiting Charleston
Travel is rough for me, but I still love being somewhere different and getting out of my typical routine. It didn’t hurt that the weather was absolutely beautiful, and the food was so, so good. After a very busy September, it was such a relief to get away and truly take time off.
A Stunning Sunset
I was sitting on the balcony in Charleston right around sunset, looked up, and saw the most incredible colors in the sky. I actually ran out to the beach access (…in my pajamas, oops) to get a better view. It was just so surreal and gorgeous and really, really cool to experience.
Lots of Reading
This follows from visiting Charleston – I took the week there completely off from all work, and didn’t even open my laptop. I finished four books while I was there – I got to read out on the balcony while looking at the ocean. It might sound boring to some of you, but I loved it and it made me so happy.
Weekly Sushi Takeout
I’ve been treating myself weekly with takeout from Mola, my favorite Pittsburgh sushi restaurant – their seared salmon belly is seriously incredible. It’s nothing huge, but just a fun little treat and gives me a little something to look forward to.
Pretty Fall Colors
Driving back from Charleston, the trees were juuust turning along our route! On the way there everything was still pretty green, but on the way back, the leaves on both sides of the highway were gorgeous reds and oranges. It made looking out the window while listening to my audiobook an amazing experience.
Clearer Calendar Ahead
September and the start of October were pretty busy for me! While I loved getting away, I’m also excited for a more relaxed month, and spending lots of cozy nights and weekends at home. It’s something I’m really looking forward to!
