This post was originally scheduled for last week, but posting just didn’t feel right to me. Honestly, writing a post about favorites still feels kind of odd! But I’m trying to slowly get back into my normal posting routine, so here we are. I actually do have quite a few favorites from October, so I’m choosing to focus on the joy that a little treat can bring. Here are my favorites from October.
Phlur Mood Ring Eau de Parfum
Mood Ring was an impulse purchase – I wanted a new travel perfume to bring with me to Charleston, and I was intrigued by the description. I ended up loving it a lot more than I thought I would. The top notes are super sweet – I think people are comparing it to gummy bears – but it dries down to a much deeper, richer kind of sweet. I get why it’s called Mood Ring, because every time I wear it I feel like I catch different scent notes.
Glossier Ultralip in Villa
I have a real love of lip products. My favorites are ones that are more of a tinted lip balm / lip gloss, or at least something that isn’t too particular. I’m not a lip liner person, so I don’t want to have to worry about being too precise! Glossier Ultralip is kind of perfect – it goes on smoothly, and has an impact but isn’t something you need a mirror to apply. I got the shade Villa, and it’s a “my lips but better” shade for me.
Rhode Pocket Blush in Sleepy Girl
This Rhode blush applies like a dream. I put a few swipes on my cheeks, and it blends in so easily to the perfect soft flush, and it still lasts all day long. It’s definitely buildable, too, if you want more of a pop on your cheeks. The shade Sleepy Girl is so perfect for fall and winter – a little bronzey, a little rosy, it looks like the flush you get after being outside in the chilly air for a bit.
Hill House Ellie in Juniper Tartan
Hill House’s Tartan dresses are great because they’re made out of the softest, coziest cotton flannel. They’re a little bit warmer than their typical cotton fabric, too, so it’s perfect for the colder weather months. I love this Tartan because it’s not too much of a holiday-only print – it will work now for fall and into the holiday season, too!
Longchamp Le Pliage Mini Pouch
In college, Le Pliage totes were everywhere! Then they seemed to disappear for a bit, but I started seeing these mini totes pop up all over my social media. I picked one up (partially out of nostalgia), and it’s actually a perfect mini bag for me. It can fit the daily essentials – phone, wallet, lip glosses, oil blotting papers…) – looks great with almost any outfit, and hangs perfectly on my wheelchair controller. Plus it’s so cute!
Gap Polo Sweater Dress
This sweater dress is such a soft knit – they label it “CashSoft,” like “soft as cashmere,” and they’re not wrong! I love sweater dresses in general, and the added ribbed knit plus polo-style collar of this one are perfect extra details to set it apart. I love this deep maroon color, and actually love the dress so much that I went back and got it in grey, too.
Luna Daily Everywhere Spray-to-Wipe
I have a whole Accidentally Adaptive post on this Luna Daily spray, but it’s been a game-changer for me. It’s perfect on those no-shower days, during travel, after the gym (if you are not me). Basically, just a super easy way to feel clean and refreshed at home or on-the-go without that residue feeling that traditional wipes leave.
