I feel like I’m in that strange, pre-holidays space where time is going both quickly and slowly at the same time. I can’t believe how close Christmas is, but the week itself felt like it went incredibly slowly. I was supposed to have a fun mid-week break by going to see Mariah Carey’s Christmas concert here, but she ended up having to cancel, which threw off my plans a bit. I was disappointed… but it was cold and snowy, so getting to stay nice and warm is never a total loss, ha!

I have been wanting this for YEARS – I’m so excited it’s here! Hotel Lobby Candle just released a perfume version of their New York Candle – I love that scent so much that I actually set an alarm to order. It’s listed as limited edition, so I’d order quickly if you’re interested!

I always think I watch a lot of TV – and I do! – but this list from The Atlantic reminds me that I don’t watch nearly as much as I could! I’ve only seen a few of the shows listed in their best of 2024 list. I’m taking notes and adding some of them to my own watchlist!

Gaza and Disability

This article is a really sobering look at what it’s like for people with disabilities to try to survive in Gaza right now. I think about this a lot, honestly – surviving my own normal life, with access to great medical care, is challenging enough. I can’t even imagine trying to survive while living under constant fear of (and reality of) bombings.
