I love getting dressed up for the holidays. Sparkle? Metallic? Shine? Velvet? Shimmer? All things that I love, and all perfect for the holidays! I do not actually have that many holiday events to attend, but I also don’t mind being a tiny bit overdressed – it feels like it’s in line with the spirit of the season! So today I’m sharing some cute holiday dress options if you’re looking to get a little bit dressed up, too.

Starting with something a little more casual – I love this tartan shirtdress-style dress. Tartan always makes me think of the holidays, but the style and cut of the dress is more on the casual end. This black mini is another great option – mostly classic and simple, but the feathers around the sleeves add the perfect festive detail. I think this red dress is so cute! Red is obviously a holiday color, and the “bow” on the chest that’s part of the sleeves is so fun (and, of course, reminiscent of all the gift-wrapped bows!). For the last mini dress option, I love the metallic gold sheen and the fancy tweed fabric of this dress.

If you’re looking for something longer, of course you can’t go wrong with a Nap Dress in this year’s tartan print – truly a classic, and the brushed cotton fabric is so cozy. I love this “twofer” style of dress – it’s effortless, but looks so intentional – and especially love the mix of fabrics in this one, with the satin skirt and metallic top. I’m not usually a jumpsuit person, but I really love the look of this one – and, of course, velvet is perfect for the holidays. Finally – I love this velvet midi dress with a faux-corset style top and swingy skirt. Perfectly festive!
