This has felt like an extremely long week. I feel like I’m almost scared to look at my phone, because every news headline that comes out about the new administration is more worrying than the last. Honestly, I’m not ready to fully think or talk about it yet – I can only handle so much before I feel myself starting to spiral. So this week I chose to lose myself in the world of Onyx Storm, Rebecca Yarros’ new book, and the comfort of some of my favorite TV shows. And, of course, a little bit of online shopping for good measure – some of which are in this week’s favorites below.

Tuckernuck has a huge sample sale going on right now, with some incredibly steep discounts. Everything is final sale, though, so browse with caution! I’m trying not to go too over-the-top with unnecessary impulse buys right now, but I did pick up this black knit dress that looks like it will a closet staple for under $50.

I’ve followed Shane and Hannah for years now – Shane and I both have SMA, so I love seeing his following grow! They just published a book called Interabled: True Stories of Love and Disability, which I’m really looking forward to reading. The book – and this article – talk about their own love story plus the love stories of other “interabled” couples.
Hill House Lots of Hearts
Hill House released a very cute Valentine’s Day capsule with this “Lots of Hearts” print! The Ellie has the decorative contrast smocking that adds such a cute detail, and I love this little quilted pouch that would make a great gift.
Potato Leek Soup (NY Times gift link)
In my hurry to save my bookmarked TikToks over the weekend, I found a few I had saved were videos of potato leek soup. It’s been so cold out this week that a comforting soup just sounds so good! I think I’m going to use this recipe to make the soup over the weekend.
Academy Award Nominations
Now that so many movies are available on streaming, I’ve made a habit of watching all the Best Picture nominees before the Oscars! Now that the full list of nominations is out, I can start checking some off. I’ve seen Conclave, Wicked, Anora, and Emilia Perez so far – I think I’ll try to watch The Substance this weekend!
