Friday Favorites

We’ve had a few days in the 60s here this week, and it’s wild how much it has improved my mood! I’m just so much happier and more motivated when it’s warm and the sun is shining. I feel like so much of my life revolves around the weather right now – I can’t wait until the warmer temperatures are here to stay so that I can focus on other things.

On to this week’s favorites!

Brain Fog is Here to Stay

So much of this article about persistent brain fog was incredibly relatable to me! It really has felt like every since 2020, my brain is not quite working the same as it used to. It’s not Covid-induced brain fog, just… brought on by life and the world? It’s nice to know that I’m not imagining it, and that it’s something other people are dealing with, too.

J.Crew Cotton Midi Dress

J.Crew released some new spring clothes this week, and wow, I really love this cotton voile midi dress! The block print, the smocking in the back, the colors – so perfect for summer! It makes me want to book a trip somewhere warm and beachy immediately.

I love a new book release roundup!! This article from The New York Times has a list of 24 new fiction books coming out this spring to add to your TBR. I had a few on my list already – Isabel Allende and Emily Henry are must-read authors for me! – but I’m adding a few more after reading this (The Audition looks so good!).

Black Flared Dress

I was going through my closet earlier this week, and realized that while I used to have a whole selection of black dresses to choose from, I somehow have nothing that isn’t super summery anymore! I really like this simple flared black dress from Sezane – easy to dress up or down, and works for multiple seasons, too.

Reality TV Just Leveled Up

Last week, I hit the point of “there’s nothing left on TV I haven’t seen!” and decided to give The Traitors a try after hearing multiple friends rave about it. I am mad at myself for waiting so long – it’s so much fun! It’s reality and a competition, but also campy, but also serious – it’s just really, really fun to watch, and this article captures it perfectly. Alan Cumming is the perfect host. I will definitely be watching next season.
