Butter Yellow Edit

I keep seeing butter yellow popping up as a trend for spring! I know some people try to say that “no one looks good in yellow,” but I don’t buy it – I actually love yellow! Plus, this season’s butter yellow is a little more muted and pastel, and can be worn almost as a neutral, really. I pulled together some of my current favorite ways of wearing the butter yellow trend.

Linen Dress // Bag // Shirtdress // Flats

Ribbed Tee // Short Sleeved Cardigan

Smocked Waist Dress // Sunglasses // Flats // Crewneck // Mini Dress

I really love the zip up the front of this cotton poplin shirtdress – it adds a fun, slightly updated detail, and is also a great option for adaptive dressing. This Somerset dress from Anthropologie is another very cute option! The smocked waist and collar look so nice, and the long length is perfect for spring. If you’re looking for something shorter, though, I like this boatneck dress with an elastic banded waist – the color is just a tiny bit more vibrant than some of the other options. And this linen shift mini dress comes in such a pale yellow that it really does look like a neutral.

For spring days that are still a little bit chillier, this yellow crewneck sweater is perfect for wearing on its own, or layering in the evening once the sun has gone down. For a shorter sleeve option, I think this striped cardigan is so cute and cheerful. And this ribbed pale yellow t-shirt looks so incredibly comfortable.

A little pop of yellow in your accessories is a great look, too. I really love adding it in via a pair of yellow flats – both this pair and this pair both look so cute. This yellow bag is basically the color of sunshine, and is such a versatile option. And I just think these yellow sunglasses are so fun!
