My Daily Makeup
Starting out with the makeup products that I use every day – a few easy-to-use things that help me look more polished. This Dior cream foundation stick is actually incredible – I’ve never used anything that blends in so smoothly and seamlessly, it’s like magic. Definitely on the dewier side, but worth it for me. Violette_fr’s cream blush is so easy to apply, natural, and buildable. I am such a fan of Glossier Boy Brow – it’s the perfect way to add just enough definition to my brows while still keeping things natural. And this tubing mascara has made my realize how irritated my eyes used to be before I started using it.
More Makeup Favorites
I tend to keep my day-to-day look simple, but I do have some other favorites I pull out when I’m going for something a little bit more. I love these Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow sticks because they’re super easy to apply and blend. The Rare Beauty blush is so pretty, and a little goes a loooong way, but it lasts all day long no problem. If I’m trying to make my brows a little bit bolder than my everyday, I’ll add the Glossier Brow Flick pen to add a bit more volume. And when I want to make more of a statement with my eye makeup, I like to use the Urban Decay eyeliner in green or blue for a fun pop of color.
I have a slight problem with lip products… I tend to collect them. The Rare Beauty Lip Oil dries down to a matte stain and looks so nice. The Violette_fr Bisou Balm is the prettiest, blurred, just-been-kissed lipstick, but it’s also buildable if you’re looking for something a little more pigmented. I love the Summer Fridays tinted balm for a hint of color with a lot of moisture. I own this Nars Afterglow lip balm in almost every color they make – I just love it. And Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is a cult classic for a reason!
Skincare Favorites
I am such a fan of Dieux and their products – I love their focus on the science and making effective products that really live up to their claims. The Dieux Deliverance serum has made my skin so much calmer and more even, and their Air Angel is such a nice lightweight gel moisturizer that helps my skin look so bouncy. Lion Pose’s Unspotted serum has helped fade my post-acne dark spots significantly, and helps keep my skin nice and clear. I love this gentle Vitamin C serum from Drunk Elephant – the formulation doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out, which is a first! I’ve added this Vitamin C gel moisturizer from Dr. Idriss to my own cart to try – I like the idea of using this at nighttime to combine two steps into one. Also from Dr. Idriss is this incredible roll-on lip peel, which has transformed my lips and made them so smooth. And I’ve been using the GrandeLash lash serum for probably five years now, and I just love how well it works.
A few more favorites…
I’m obsessed with the Luna Daily Spray-to-Wipe – it’s the perfect way to get a little refresh on days when showering is too exhausting, or when you’re out and about or on-the-go (it comes in a mini size for those occasions). I picked up the Dermaflash Luxe+ dermaplaning device during a Sephora sale last year, and I wish I tried it sooner. It’s so easy to use, hasn’t irritated my skin at all, and my skincare and makeup have never gone on smoother. The Shark FlexStyle has made it so much easier for me to get a salon-esque blowout at home – the curling attachments give me the nicest, bounciest, loose curls. I definitely recommend adding on the FrizzFighter attachment, because it’s basically magic in how it smooths and seals my style. And I’ve been using a Foreo mini to wash my face for probably 10 years now – it deep cleans without irritating my face at all, and the silicone material means there’s no gross build up.
