Happy Friday… and happy new Taylor Swift album day! I’m very excited to listen today, and to head to the movie theater tomorrow for the full Showgirl experience. I know it’s “just” new music, but I am very here for finding all the small moments of joy that I can right now. And having an excuse to dress on theme, hang out with my friend, and (quietly!) sing along to some new Taylor Swift songs?! That is joy to me. I hope you all can find your own moment of joy this weekend, too.

US will not enforce Biden wheelchair passenger protection rule
I scrolled past this on my Instagram yesterday, did some research, and was disappointed to learn that it was real. The current administration has said they’ll no longer enforce some of the newer regulations that the Biden administration had enacted last year – including one that would require airlines to reimburse disabled passengers if their wheelchairs are damaged! This is pretty galling considering that we’re required to stow our wheelchairs in the cargo hold with all the other luggage, having to just cross our fingers and hope that it’s properly handled and arrives in one piece on the other side of the journey. So to be told that if our wheelchairs are damaged when they’re not even in our possession, we’re not going to be compensated for that?! I don’t even have words for my frustration.

I’ve been following Mychal online for a while now – I love how kind and cool he is! When I saw the news that Reading Rainbow would be coming back with Mychal as the new host, I was just so excited. I know I’m not exactly the prime audience now, but Reading Rainbow was such a huge part of my childhood, and I think it’s so important to instill a love of reading in kids’ lives as early as possible! This is a great way to reach a new generation, and I think Mychal will be an amazing host.
