This week felt extra long – we had a stretch of chilly, overcast days, and it made me want to be curled up reading under a cozy blanket all day long instead of doing anything productive. I really have been feeling the earlier darkness, too – all of it combined has just made me extra sleepy and sluggish. One bonus of the changing weather, though, is that the deer have been stopping by so much more often! Look at this cute little guy. They always make my day a little bit happier.
On to the favorites!

Hotel Lobby Candle Holiday Collection
Hotel Lobby released their holiday collection this week, and wow, it looks good. Not only do I love the direction of their campaign, but the new scent notes are beyond tempting! Of course, you can’t go wrong with the classic Holiday scent, but I reaaaally want to try both Holiday in New York and Fifth Avenue.
‘My Life With ALS’
I have been following Brooke Eby online for a few years now, and I love how she’s brought attention to ALS just by being her genuine, authentic self. I love how honest she is in this photo diary, too – about the time, and the effort, and the discomfort. It’s very real! I also laughed, because my parents call me the Princess and the Pea too!
Salt & Stone Body Mist
I’ve used the Salt & Stone body wash before, and I’m a fan – the scents are really nice and luxurious! Now that they’ve come out with matching body mists, I’m very intrigued. The Santal & Vetiver one sounds like it would be right up my alley.
So Many Thoughts on Prince Andrew
With the news this week that Prince Andrew would stop using some of his titles, Elizabeth Holmes at So Many Thoughts did a deep, deep dive on what is happening. It’s a really illuminating – if not also incredibly difficult to read – explainer on his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Virginia Giuffre, and Ghislaine Maxwell. Elizabeth researched and explains this so well – definitely recommend reading.
