Shades of Burgundy

For the second year in a row, burgundy is everywhere for fall. I’m not complaining – I love it! Bright red feels a little bit bold for me, but burgundy (or maroon, or bordeaux, or whatever name you choose) is something that I can work with! I love how deep and rich it is, and how it works as almost a neutral with so many other shades, too. Here are some burgundy pieces that keep catching my eye.

Leather Flats // Tiered Dress // Ribbed Henley // Sweater Dress

Cable Knit Sweater // Velvet Flats // Sweater Maxi // Wristlet Bag

Shoulder Bag // Pullover Sweater // Crewneck Sweater

If you’re looking for something burgundy to add to your wardrobe now, before it gets chillier, I love this tiered flouncey dress – the pintucks are such a great detail. I really love a sweater dress, and this shorter version and this longer one both come in gorgeous shades of bordeaux. This ribbed henley is a great casual option, and of course, you can’t go wrong with a sweater – this crew neck and this super soft crew neck are both so cute, and I love the cable knit of this one.

Accessories are another great way to mix in some maroon, because like I mentioned, it’s so deep and rich it really does work like a neutral! These burgundy leather flats are a classic, and completely versatile. For something a little bit more whimsical, I love these velvet Mary Jane flats so much – they’re so much fun. This leather shoulder bag is a great addition to any outfit, and I cannot stop thinking about the fun shape of this sculptural wristlet bag – it looks so good in this deep shade.
