Pittsburgh Gift Guide

I can’t believe we’re already halfway through November – the holiday season is really about to be in full swing, which means it’s gift guide season! I always like to start out with a local, Pittsburgh-based gift guide… both because I love highlighting Pittsburgh small businesses, and because I know it can take a bit longer for things to ship when you’re shopping small. So today’s gift guide is a nice mix of Pittsburgh-based businesses, and gifts with a little nod to the Burgh.

Lavalliere // Ornament // Keychain // Puzzle

Trinket Tray // Ornament // Hot Cocoa

Dish Towel // Necklace // Bow Tie

Cards // Mug

Knotzland Lavalliere

Knotzland is such a cool company because they repurpose fabric scraps to make the most amazing wearable art, in the form of lavallieres and bow ties. This lavalliere is such a fun holiday accessory, and would make an amazing gift for a stylish but eco-conscious person… or a gift for yourself for a holiday party look, no judgement here!

Pennsylvania Ornament

This PA shaped ornament has the cutest Pittsburgh references. Not only does it have “Welcome to the Neighborhood” a la Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, but it also has the infamous “Pittsburgh parking chair” used around here to save a spot for on-street parking.

Espresso Keychain

This is just a super fun little stocking stuffer – an espresso bag-shaped keychain from one of my favorite local coffeeshops, Commonplace Coffee.

Wooden Puzzle

I love that this wooden puzzle is both an activity and a piece of decor once it’s finished! Wooden puzzles look so chic – this one has Pittsburgh and all the surrounding areas, and it would look so nice on display once it’s all been put together.

Trinket Tray

I love subtle Pittsburgh things like this – just a trinket tray, but with the city’s map on it. A perfect gift for someone who has moved away but wants a little reminder of the city in their new home!

Pittsburgh Ornament

My friend Julie makes the coolest wire decorations. I really love this ornament with the city’s skyline and the word “home”… in, of course, the iconic black-and-gold colorway. You can use code GIFTS for 10% off!

Hot Cocoa Mix

Who doesn’t love hot cocoa around the holidays? This is a fancy hot cocoa mix – single origin! – again from Commonplace Coffee. I feel like consumable gifts are always a hit.

Pierogi Dishtowel

Sometimes, you’re looking for a little more of a tongue-in-cheek gift… and that’s exactly what this dishtowel is to me! Pierogis are such a thing in Pittsburgh, having them on a dish towel is cute and funny.

Pierogi Necklace

I wasn’t kidding about pierogis being a thing here! This necklace is such a fun but subtle way to share Pittsburgh (and Polish!) pride – it’s wearable everyday but is that perfect “IYKYK” reference.

Knotzland Bow Tie

One more from Knotzland – their standard bow tie. Again, so cool that this is repurposed and made from scrap material, and would look so great on a holiday look.

Assorted Pittsburgh Cards

My friend Katie is such a talented artist, and she has some giftable things with Pittsburgh nods to them! This assorted set of greeting cards have different Pittsburgh food and drink things on them… like the iconic Primantis sandwich. You can use code 20HEATHER for 20% off!

Pittsburgh Coffee Mug

Clark bars were my favorite candy bar growing up, so I had to include this coffee mug with some of Pittsburgh’s most iconic landmarks. Plus, the Eat’n’Park cookie, the Kennywood sign… all great!
