This was definitely not my best month for reading! I started out strong, but by the end of the month I found myself feeling pretty burnt out, wanting to mindlessly scroll through TikTok instead of reading. I think I'm going to go easy next month and fit in some cute holiday romances to get me back in the reading mood and into the holiday spirit. Here's what I read in November.
I am still struggling with time management and balance right now - trying to squeeze in reading where I can, but also accept that this is a busy time of year with work, the blog, and having a social life, too. So I'm reading a little more slowly than my usual, but still trying to make time for it where I can. This means I haven't managed to read The Woman in Me yet but it is on my list! Here is everything that I did read in October.
I am having one of those months where I can't quite decide what I want to read - I think I've picked up and started at least four different books, and then put them down and picked up something else because I just wasn't in the mood for them! I will return to them eventually, once I figure out what exactly I am in the mood for. But here's what I did read in September!
Another month that was not my best, reading wise! It has been tough lately to really find free time to read - and to find time where I feel like I can actually focus on a book. But I am okay with that - I'm not pushing myself or stressing over it right now. Here's everything I read over the last month.
I'll be sharing a big round up of all my favorite picks from the Labor Day sales next week, so I tried not to go too overboard in this week's wishlist. But until then, I did find some cute options to tide us over! I love this faux two piece dress in shades of blue. Madwell's classic transport tote - with a zip top so that your belongings stay safely inside - is already 30% off with the code COOLDOWN. And J.Crew has started their Labor Day sale early too - the code SHOPNOW gets you 40% off these chic ankle boots, super fun pearl embellished sweater, and cozy cable knit cardigan. Happy shopping!
I meant to write this post sometime last month, but time got away from me! Now that we're over halfway through the year, I thought I'd do a round up of my favorite books that I've read so far this year. These aren't in any rank order - just in the order that I read them!
This was a busy month for me - I traveled to New York for my friend's wedding - and didn't end up getting in as much reading as I usually do. I also used the time in the car to make a serious dent in my re-read (via audiobooks) of the Throne of Glass series, but since I've already shared those books before, I'm not including them in this post. Here are the new (to me) books that I read in July.
I did a lot of reading in June! I read so many things that I loved, which made me want to read more - it's such a nice feeling when I finish a book and feel like I can't wait to dive into the next. Here's everything that I read in June.
I have a monthly reading recap coming up next week, but this month felt like it had some standout books that were released! So I want to highlight five books that I loved that came out this month.
I shared last week that I was in a bit of a reading slump this month, but I did still read some books that I really loved... it just took me a little longer than usual. I'm definitely looking forward to more patio reading next month and all summer long. Here's everything I read in May!
