Friday Favorites

We had a few days of absolutely gorgeous weather here this week, which felt so nice. I’m really, really excited for it to get here and stay here full time. Other than sneaking in time outside as much as humanly possible, it was a pretty routine week. I’m looking forward to a similarly low-key weekend, and getting some reading in. I don’t know if it’s the time change, or just life, but I’ve been so tired lately, and could use a bit of a reset.

On to this week’s favorites.

Most Anticipated Books of Spring

I can never pass up one of these lists!! I love checking out what books are coming out soon, and which I’m most looking forward to. I’ve already read (or started to read) a few of these, and I can see at least 5 or 10 more to add to my list. It’s really been feeling lately that there are so many good books published recently that I can’t wait to read, and this just makes me feel like that even more.

Ruffle Hem Dress

This springy dress from J. Crew is just so pretty. I love the puff sleeves and the ruffle hem, and the Liberty fabric is, as always, such a great print. The florals almost look like abstract polka dots from far away!

Lemony Orzo with Asparagus and Breadcrumbs (NY Times gift recipe)

I have been in such a lunch rut lately. You’d think that with my entire kitchen at my disposal, it would be easy to find something, but nothing has been hitting the spot lately! I’m very interested in this lemony orzo recipe, though – it seems very appropriate for spring, and something that would be super easy to reheat for lunch for a few days in a row.

The White Lotus x Banana Republic

I was doing some scrolling and came across an ad for The White Lotus x Banana Republic collaboration. I was intrigued! It’s a great, summery, vacation vibes collection – if you have any warm weather trips planned, definitely check it out. I especially love this linen slip dress.

This article at The Atlantic was super eye-opening to me. I knew that databases of pirated books existed… but didn’t realize how extensive they were, and didn’t realize that Meta was using the contents of pirated databases to train their AI. Obviously, AI is here to stay, and theoretically increasing accessibility to texts is a great thing… but this does not seem like the way to do it.
