End of Summer Style

I was out to dinner with friends over the weekend and someone asked if we could smell fall in the air. I promptly told her to STOP talking about it, because I want to ignore it and pretend like it will be summer forever!

But when I force myself to admit it, she’s right. In the evenings especially, you can really feel a chill in the air that just screams fall. When the weather starts to turn like this – still warm and sunny during the day but then a bit of a chill later in the evening – I typically reach for maxi dresses (or a longer midi).

They work on their own during the day, and in the evening you can throw on a wrap like this one or a jean jacket / drapey jacket. They’re versatile and lets me hold on to the feelings of summer for just a little bit longer.

I’m sharing some of my favorite end of summer maxi dresses today.

Product collage for End of Summer Style: leopard puff sleeve midi, camel shirtdress, patterned tank maxi, faux wrap maxi, butterfly print dress, asymmetrical handkerchief hem dress, black poplin puff sleeve, Nesli nap dress, black tie back dress, eyelet detail maxi dress.

Leopard Puff Sleeve // Blousy Shirtdress // Printed Wrap Top // Amazon Basics Maxi

Floaty Butterflies // Buttoned Handkerchief Hem

Black Slitted //Nesli Nap Dress // Black Tie Back // Eyelet Detail Maxi

I try to wear darker and more vibrant colors when the weather starts to turn, but this dusty blue dress with an asymmetrical hem is just so good that I can look past the color! The same goes for this shirtdress option, too.

The Nesli style of the Nap Dress is a great option as the calendar switches to September – the sleeves give it a little extra coverage (and have really great extra details, too!). I own this leopard dress and love the puffy sleeves – and the fact that the fabric isn’t too heavy.

How cute is the eyelet detailing on this dress?! So perfect for fall. This butterfly-patterned dress is a little more expensive, but it is so incredibly beautiful! If you have any weddings coming up, I think it would be absolutely perfect.

If you’re more of a black dress person, this tie-back dress and this one with a slit are both great options. And if you want a pattern, this tank dress or this short-sleeved option from Amazon Basics (that I own and love) would totally work.
