We made it to the end of another week! The weather has been absolutely perfect here this week – I’m definitely trying to get all the patio time that I can. Otherwise, the week has been fairly uneventful – I’m hoping to make it out this weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday, but that’s the only thing on my agenda. I’ve been feeling extra exhausted recently, so I’m trying to be good about making sure I leave myself plenty of time to rest. My SleepNumber app did compliment me on my improved sleep this morning, so I guess I’m doing something right! It’s just hard when I went to say yes to things but know that I should say no. A constant struggle that I’m always working on.
And with that – on to this week’s favorites!

Ms. Hense’s Classroom Wishlist
Okay, this week’s classroom wishlist is one that’s close to my heart, because I went to school with Ms. Hense! It’s so funny to think that people I went to school with are teachers now, but I am certain that she is an excellent one. She says: “I teach First Grade Reading and love providing my students with a diverse classroom library. I strive to provide books that are “windows and mirrors” for my students (so they can see themselves and others represented). It’s also important to me to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere where my kids feel safe and excited to learn.”
You’ve all been so generous with your list-clearing. I know that Ms. Hense appreciates any help you’re able to offer to help her students have a great year.
Archetypes with Serena Williams
I actually downloaded Spotify onto my phone so that I could listen to the conversation between Serena Williams and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex in her new podcast Archetypes. I love a conversation about ambition and balance, and loved how real the conversation felt, too. It didn’t feel staged; it really felt like two friends sitting down to chat, and we got to learn a little more about both of them and their lives. Also very excited to listen to the next episode with Mariah Carey, too!
Perfect Pumps for Fall
Sadly, I can’t really wear heels – my ankles are too weak and bend inwards really easily – but if I could, I would love these Sarah Flint pumps for fall! The navy suede is so beautiful, I love the rounded toe, and the block heel makes them so easy to dress up or down. A great chic and classic shoe!
You can use the code SARAHFLINT-BAHEATHERREPORT for $50 off your first pair of Sarah Flints!
Women on Ambition
I wasn’t kidding when I said I loved things about women and ambition! I thought this was a really great article looking at what ambition and success means to women right now. Sometimes, it doesn’t mean promotion after promotion – it means flexibility and balance. It’s really interesting to think about what we each personally value, and what being successful means to each of us.
Extra 50% off J.Crew Sale
J.Crew has an excellent sale on their sale going on right now – if you create a (free!) account, you can get an extra 50% sale items with the code PASSPORT. I especially love this jersey dress, this tie-shoulder maxi, and this tie-back poplin dress.
Thank you for sharing my classroom wishlist! My students and I appreciate it so much.
