This week has dragged on, which is typically what it feels like for my when there’s a long weekend. I’m also excited for the weekend itself – I’m going to see Hozier at a local music festival, and there’s nothing I love more than an outdoor concert. I plan to spend the rest of my time of relaxing, hopefully reading on the patio, and I couldn’t be more excited.
On to this week’s favorites!

Beach Reads for All Book Lovers
I love this round up of beach reads for all different kinds of book lovers. I like to read a lot of different genres, so I’m excited to pick a few off this list to read over the summer, whether I’m reading at the beach or just in my own backyard.
How XO, Kitty Came to Be
I loved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and I’m hoping to get the chance to start XO, Kitty over the weekend! I love that we get a chance to learn more about the younger Covey sister, and this article is a great peek at how the show came to be and what it means to Anna Cathcart.
Shopbop Designer Sale
Shopbop has a big designer sale going on right now! Some things are still pricey, but if you have a big event coming up, or have just had something on your wishlist for a while, this is a great sale to take advantage of. This Tory Burch bag is so, so classic and a great deal, and this dress is still a splurge, but so beautiful. And this dress that I’ve shared at least once before is on sale for $64!
Queen Charlotte and Meghan Markle
I loved this look at how Queen Charlotte (the Bridgerton spinoff) has some parallels to the way that Meghan Markle was seen in England. In the show, the royal family has to figure out how to deal with the fact that she is “brown” (their words!), and it’s clear that many grappled with the same concept when Meghan started publicly dating Prince Harry – it only got worse as they got engaged, and then married. I think this is definitely worth a read!
